Does this come with its own cord? How does it attach to the computer?

It comes with 2 cables. 1. a USB 3.1 Gen 1 A to C-Cable which just plugs into any available USB port. and C end of the cable plugs into the card reader. 2. a USB 3.1 Gen 2 C to C-Cable which plugs into you Computer C port if you have one and the other end plugs into the card reader.

Has anyone else found their CFExpress cards to get ridiculously hot in this thing?

Yes. I found they get ridiculously hot also in different readers e.g. Sandisk one, so I don't believe it is specific to this item. No idea why it gets so hot, even when sitting idle and not reading / writing data.

Will this work for uploading photos to samsung galaxy s7 plus tablet?
