Not sure what you mean. You manually push the walker so if you want it to stop, just stop walking forward. It stops instantly.

As follow-up to my prior question, could I use this all-terrain walker on a true dirt and gravel path in a park, with occasional rocks, roots, etc.?

I have little problems on a true path. My biggest struggle has been grassy slopes of even a slight grade. But paths with occasional rock, roots, etc. are fine.

How much assembly is required?

You have to put on the wheels, arm uprights, seat back and brakes as well as tie down the brake cables. It sounds like a lot of assembly but mostly you just slide one tube into another until they snap together, cable holders for the brakes are pre- mounted. Not really hard or time consuming.

Is this model number hfk-9236t3 or hfk-9236t4 ? what's the difference?

I do not know what the model number is, however, the difference between the two models is that one my wife bought has the larger “all terrain” wheels.
