I bought a plastic one from a local store and got one use before it fell apart. This one was about the same price, and I expect it will last a long time.

Installed on 2 exterior hose bibs to prevent backflow from garden hose into local water well system. Work as intended and no leaks. Super easy to install; break off lock ensures backflow valve isn’t inadvertently removed.

They are the same as the much more expensive ones for less $$$. It comes with a 5mm screw that will break at the groove as intended because it is required by most codes. However, one could replace that special screw with a set screw and when the Vacuum Breaker eventually brakes, (they all will do) will be easy to replace. The seller ships fast, I recommend this product and the seller.

While this is a very well made item I didn't use it as I found that I had to replace the whole hose bib. So I ordered one with a lever shutoff for the replacement.
