Grannick's Care Dogs Bitter Apple No Chew Spray 8oz

It works, but this is a training tool not a one and done thing. It does not smell bad and does not discolor furniture. I spray it on my cloth couch, wood furniture, and any/everything else I want my two anamaniacs to stop chewing on! They definitely stop chewing on it immediately, they seriously dislike the taste, but as soon as that wears off they will be back. It has to go hand in hand with proper training of your furry friend. There are no “magic tricks” to stop bad behavior. I have used this same product to train 5 dogs now and 4 cats to stop chewing and/or climbing on things I wanted them to stay off of or leave alone. But it takes consistency.

Works well! I needed it for my ferret to stop chewing hammock straps in their cage. My new rescue always went crazy for anything attached to the top of the cage. Soaked some of this into the straps when I added the new hammock and she hasn't attempted to chew them since. I would be mindful when spraying as it can get around the surface you are attempting. It also has an alcohol smell to it which I'm sure aids in having the pets avoid the given area. CONSULT A VETERINARIAN BEFORE SPRAYING DIRECTLY ON YOUR PETS! Also check the material and ingredients of this product before spraying on furniture etc before it gets ruined.

This works really well for our dog, and is the only product that works for him. When we spray stuff with this, he leaves it alone. It doesn’t last forever - you have to respray - but you may find that, like for us, you don’t end up needing to. The dog starts avoiding whatever was sprayed, even if the product has worn off. Definitely recommend if your dog likes chewing and stealing things he shouldn’t.I will say, you won’t want to spray clothes or anything you’re wearing because it does have a little alcohol smell. The more you spray, the more it will smell. If you just spray a little, it’s not too bad, and it eventually wears off to the human nose. Maybe keep it to decorative things.

This spray worked great to stop our cat from constantly chewing on the ends of charging cords. So far we’ve been able to use it on whatever the cat tries to chew on. Things like the ends of my shoelaces. Super easy to use - just grab it and spray!

The deterrent might work for other dogs, but my chihuahua loves it! 😒 She still chews on trim and shoes even after I’ve freshly sprayed them.Note: She loves all deterrents (any brand), except for hot sauce, thats the only thing keeping her away from stuff, she hates hot sauce smell and taste 👅

My dog likes to fight the vacuum and my steamer. They are her number one ops in the house and she will not let me clean in peace if I am using either of them.When she isn't looking I spray the item before I put it to use. I don't want her to know that I'm doing something to change the taste of the vacuum. I just want her to think it taste like that so she leaves it alone whenever I use it. So far so good. One chomp on it and she starts making a very adorable but disgusted face. She hates the taste of it. And she leave's it alone after that.So far so good. I hope to eventually train her out of being so reactive but this is a good deterrent while we work on that. As far as the smell, it just smells like alcohol to me.

This spray seems to be working and keeping my small puppy from chewing everything. I've sprayed in on my furniture, rugs, and upholstered furniture and it keeps her from that area. The smell isn't strong to me but it seems to keep her away from chewing items she shouldn't be!

This product is very effective to keep my dogs from chewing or biting. My only complaint is that it is should be available in smaller sizes...mainly because once you have to use it, they are simply only afraid of the bottle. I have shared mine with 3 other friends because I really just needed a few squirts and they now fear just the bottle.
