Innovative Home Stainless Steel Compost Bin Can with Double Filtered Lid, 1.3 Gallon

Product looked great, but the manufacturing and quality control was terrible. The bottom seam of the can had two (2) holes where the bottom and the side were supposed to be seamlessly welded together, rendering this compost can useless for the intended purpose - it would leak all over the counter if I were to use this one. I tried to do a return and replacement, using "defective or damaged" from Amazon, but that doesn't allow you to get a replacement ordered, etc. In any event, the product, if properly made, looks and feels substantial and would have been a great countertop/under counter compost can. I will be ordering another of the same item and hoping that the next one doesn't have any holes or other issues.

We are thrilled with this, except, it developed a pinhole in the side. We neither noticed it upon unpacking nor for the next two months. This hole developed with less than 3 months of light household/kitchen use. It is cleaned upon emptying every 2 days or so, which includes filling with soapy water, and using a kitchen sponge to remove any film from the inside. The warranty is only for 30 days, for a $30 item.

I searched and searched for the right compost bin to complement my kitchen since it was going to sit on my counter. This one looks so great and goes nicely with my stainless steel appliances. It's also the perfect size since we compost everything we can but didn't want to have to empty it every day. I also like the fact that it is easy to clean and came with a good filter too. We don't smell anything which is the biggest plus. I highly recommend it.

I have had this product for some time and love it. We put our vegetable scraps in it for composting and it rinses out easily and washes well. It also eliminates fruit flies and odors. I attempted to order another one but was not able to purchase one. I will get another when they become available as it will be a great gift for a friend that likes to compost.

I LOVE this steel compost bin! Not only is it eye appealing on the kitchen counter with the brushed steel, it is heavy duty. The built in filter in the lid works wonderfully, I use this to dump my used coffee grounds and the only time I smell them is when I open the bin to dump more. Just the perfect compost bin for the counter-top!!! I love the size - not too big, not too small. It looks nice with other stainless steel small appliances, such as coffeemaker, toaster oven, blender, etc.I use a lot of fresh produce in food preparation and all that I discard goes to the bin. At end of the day when I walk the dog I take the bin to the outdoor compost and voila- I have a clean bin without any odor or anything sticking to the walls.I could not find any better for my purposes!!!

This has been a welcome addition to our kitchen. We began composting this year for our garden and have been very pleased with this Compost Bin. The filters work great to prevent foul odors from leaking out and the stainless steel blends into our kitchen and is easy to clean.The one star deduction is due to the way the handle is screwed in. We have somehow managed to lose one of the screwed into the compost which makes me think a type of spot weld would have been better suited.

Classy, stylish, and functional! It looks great on the counter. I love that it has a mesh odor collector thing in the lid so I NEVER EVER smell the food. My complaint, which isn't really one is the stainless gets smudgy and dirty and it needs to be washed outside and definitely inside occasionally. Supposedly you can buy compostable bags, but that's another step and more to decompose that I'd rather not deal with.
