I have replaced all the cheap made in USA or China hose clamps with these quality, all SS hose clamps.

a simple hose clamp failure can leave you stranded, i upgraded to these, so far i haven't noticed a loss in clamping force. and they don't damage the hoses nearly as much as typical clamps, worth their weight in gold.

Gates type hose clamps have open serrations that cut hoses if over tightened. Scandvik clamps have a curve on the band that does not allow the clamp to cut coolant hoses and has closed serrations for the worm gear. Scandvik clamps are expensive. However I bought them to use for a rat's nest of molded coolant hoses under the intake manifold of my car. The only way to get to these hoses is to remove the intake manifold. The hose set alone cost me $200. Long term Scandvik clamps are worth the money.I became familiar with these clamps because they are the factory equivalent type clamps on new German cars. I was a dealership mechanic for 28 years.

These are the way to go. They are far far superior to regular hose clamps. If you want to do it right, go with these hose clamps. Only complaint is having to buy them 10 at a time
