SIMPLE TO USE ~ SHARP KNIVES ARE SO MUCH BETTER
If you (like me) have a drawer with blunt knives ~ BUY ONE OF THESE !!If like me you've dabbled at sharpening your knives and failed ~ BUY ONE OF THESE !!If you want sharp knives and you have one of these be patient and start with one knife. This wonderful knife sharpener uses three stages and if your knife is BLUNT you will need to work on Stage One for a while, it could take more that five draws of the knife!First slot removes the most metal to get the V shaped edge to the correct angle ~ be patient this tool will do it great! When I think the edge is shining sharp I run a black marker pen onto the newly exposed angle. I run the blade through the sharpener ONE WAY ONLY and see if all the marker black on the edge has gone.I continue to bring away if it isn't all sharpened. Once you have the edge back it's much easier keeping it with is tool. The first slot does the grunt workThe last two slots do the fine workFollow the instructions, watch a YT video to get a better understanding abut knife sharpening.Once you have used all three slots BE CAREFUL that blade has changed into a precision tool with this sharpener.Once you have got the angle sorted the knife is much easier to keep sharp. prepping food is so much easier and enjoyable.Once you have your first really sharp knife you'll need to repeat stages 2 and 3 to keep it sharp. The best knife sharpener is the one you use regularly. With this ProfessionalKnife Sharpener you are equipped to transform blunt knives into sharp ones.

Great!
I've tried many knife sharpeners for convenience and always end up returning to my carborundum grinding stones. The problem with those is that you need to set aside time to use them properly. The simpler sharpeners always come up short though, not really sharpening as well as I'd like. I tried this one and it is really comfortable to use. There are three slots with slightly different functions (all clearly labelled). The ceramic slot has diamond coated rods to pre-grind steel blades that are damaged. Blunt steel knives will need this. The central Coarse slot is made from tungsten steel and if a steel blade is not too badly damaged, you may go straight to this, grinding to make the knives sharp. The Fine slot is the final step when steel is polished and honed by ceramic rollers.Sadly, it cannot be used with serrated knives or scissors but it has one feature that most standard grinders don't and that is the ability to also sharpen ceramic knives. I have two and bought a specialist and rather expensive Japanese grinder for the purpose. The ceramic slot on this does a very respectable job for a quick solution while cooking. I still use my specialist, Japanese ceramic knife grinder but this one is not bad in a hurry. The rollers are in a separate clip-on piece which means they are easier to clean, as is the handle. They don't need much cleaning other than rinsing under the tap to remove any tiny particles of steel or ceramic. The sharpener can be used left or right-handed but the labels are designed for right-hand use. Yeah, I think we left-handers can manage that. 😀

Easy to use
This knife sharpener is really easy to use and is suitable for left or right handed peopleThe sharpener can be removed for cleaning and the handle is ergonomic meaning its comfortable to hold while your sharpening your knivesIt is a 3 stage sharpener that begins with a diamond rod slot to gently repair and straighten your knife, then the tungsten steel provides a coarse sharpening to restore the blade to a v shape and the last slot polishes the knifeThe knife sharpener has a non slip base so it won't slide about when you're using it. When sharpening knives it's best to pull the blade through in one direction only as going back and forth will damage the knife. You can't submerge the knife sharpener in water, to clean just wipe with a damp clothIncluded with the knife sharpener is a small user manual that goes through step by step to sharpen your knivesThis knife sharpener is not suitable for scissors or serrated knivesI've got several knives that were past their best and were pretty blunt, now thanks to this knife sharpener I've been able to restore them and their blades are very sharp againI'm really impressed with this knife sharpener and have no hesitation in recommending it

Sturdy, solid and well made, easy grip handle, results reasonable
This is larger than I expected. The instructions aren't as clear as they could be because they refer to ceramic knives and the ceramic sharpener but seem to call both the diamond coarse slot on the left and the ceramic polishing slot on the right the "ceramic" slot in different parts of the leaflet. Fortunately I don't own any ceramic knives so I'm just going to treat the slots as Pass 1, Pass 2 and Pass 3, starting at lower pass numbers for knives that have got more out of shape.I had a carving knife that had a damaged blade and used this to try to get it back to a reasonable state. It got close after a while, but I think it needs a bit more working on the coarse grinding side to get the blade shape right. If you blade is badly out of condition it will take more than the "4–6 strokes" repeated in the leaflet.Having said that, all three slots feel like they are working as you draw a knife through them, and having the three slots provides versatility depending on your knife - whether you need a quick regular touch-up or a deeper reshaping.
