Understanding that it isn't practical, if I were to put 2 of these in raid 0 on a pcie gen 4 motherboard, could i expect reads of up to 14000Mb/s? 🤔

For an NVMe M.2 raid 0 be sure you have two M.2 sockets that are on dedicated CPU lanes. Most desktops have one M.2 on cpu lanes and one M.2 on chipset shared cpu lanes. The chipset M.2 can't keep up with the real direct cpu lane M.2 drive.

Will this work on PS5?

PS5 is currently allowing select people to run a beta OS/firmware update that allows users to install another M.2 into the expandable storage slot. This is on the compatible/recommended list. I will be buying it once the update goes live to everyone. It's important to note that the PS5 requires it to have a heat sink installed on it, and there's a maximum height of 11.25mm. I'd imagine it's required because it's a rather warm running system.

What is the guaranteed tbw like 970 pro has 1200tb warranty. what are the claims of 980 pro?

The TBW warranty for the 980 Pro is half the one for a 970 Pro of the same size. The lower TBW figure could be significant in some applications because the SSD is not only used to store data. It is also used as virtual memory. If virtual memory is heavily used, lots of TBs could be written and read in a short amount of time.

Any noticable difference in game loading times from a gen 3 NVMe to this one?

No really won't notice the diffence. It'll only be by a couple seconds. Samsung's gen 3 NVMe SSD actually booting games up faster then other brand gen 4 SSD because of how good the firmware is with samsung ssd. The biggest place where you will see the biggest difference is with really big files, the faster speeds of gen 4 will start to expand the gap in superiority with load times of very big files. But that's not really real world. If you are mainly doing games and little files here and there, gen 3 is just fine

Drive Failed - Customer Service Incapable of replacing

I unfortunately am one of the individuals who's drive failed (due to a firmware related issue). I purchased a 2TB 980 pro and it last for about 1 year and then failed. It had the commonly related issue of the media becoming read only as well as my PC giving a critical alert that the drive was about to fail. The issue was customer service - which was incapable of handing a fairly easy issue and ended up in the fact I was not able to have the product replaced. I purchased this through Amazon, but I didn't realise it was from a supplier based in the US. This is where the issue occurred. I have found Amazon pretty good when it comes to returns, so it's not been a concern, but as this replacement was through the warranty I had to contact Samsung. Samsung Europe told me the drive had an American serial number and had to be processed by US Samsung support. US Samsung support was slow to respond and told me they may be able to replace or fix it, but I had to pay for sending and return. Unfortunately this from UK to US came to about $170 (this was the lowest cost I could find) in total and regarding this cost was not worth sending as I may as well just purchase a new drive. It was frustrating how disconnected US and Europe support was and for a device that has a worldwide warranty. It's very unlikely I will ever purchase another Samsung PC component and purchasing any component on Amazon I will check where the supplier is based.

Not ideal for indoor use

I don’t feel that it was very well made for indoor use. The silicone stoppers/protectors for the poles don’t fit securely; they needed to be taped in place. Plus not all the bars are securely welded to meet the frames so there are sharp edges in places.
