This is a very good book about pandas. There is a lot of information in there and I learned some new stuff! The pictures are all super adorable and kids of all ages love looking at them. The writing in the book is informative and easy to understand. The pages are colorful with lots of cute pictures. Most of the text is in clear and easy to read white print, but there are some words in larger yellow print for emphasis. It even throws in a little information about other animals in this book. The binding is okay for now, but it is the type where you can see the strings through certain parts, so I think you will want to treat this book with care. It probably isn't the greatest one for young children to hold onto unsupervised until they learn how to be gentle. The book is pretty small and a fairly quick read, but there is actually a good amount of varied information in there. It even contains some extension activities at the end with a quiz to identify other animals and some parent suggestions for extending learning about pandas. I am happy to add this book to our library and would recommend it to others.

My 1st grader used this for a book report, he, his class, and his teacher loved it.

My niece loved the pictures and the fun facts.

This is a great book for young readers, perhaps 4 or 5 years of age. The photo’s are beautiful and the descriptions and writing very engaging.
