A worthwhile investment.
Because the price of ground lamb is very high in my area I decided to try grinding my own from legs of lamb purchased more reasonably at Costco. My grinder took a little longer to ship but I didn't mind waiting for it. It was securely packaged in 3 boxes! Each small part was wrapped separately. I followed the instructions in the enclosed booklet and was up and running in no time. I purchased a 5 lb 37 oz leg to try out my new grinder and was delighted at the ease the meat ground up. I don't know why I didn't think of buying one sooner, but I'm thrilled that I have it now and it will give me years of good use. I highly recommend this grinder. I only used it for a small leg of lamb initially but I intend to use it on much larger items in the future. If I have any criticism it is the noise level. My husband could hear it clearly while he was working in the garage. The noise didn't bother him and it certainly didn't bother me.

Powerful nice electric meat grinder mincer
This is a nice and powerful meat grinder mincer. Really easy to set up and operate. This machine is big. It comes with 3 different size of cutting plates, kibbe and sausage attachments, which can help you cooking easier. There is some noise from the machine when it turn on, but acceptable. It’s also easy to clean after using. Very convenient and efficient machine to grind the meat.

Very poor finish.
Did a great job of grinding up the meat BUT the first time I soaked and washed it ALL the chrome either came off or tarnished dark grey. Also had a oily residue coating it after washing . Not happy with the finish. But operated great.

Highly recommend this powerful grinder
Impressed with the power of this grinder. Had to replace one that had less hp and died on us (500 watts vs 1800 wars). Used it to make deer burger and worked very well. It actually pulled the meat thru with no need to push. I saw a review that said parts rust and was apprehensive in ordering this one, but did anyway and glad I did. I also have one of the discs discolor and not seeing it as 'rust' and will still use it. I think it is just the type of metal.

00 grinder this is a pretty nice unit
Compared to a $600.00 grinder this is a pretty nice unit. The main switch box that the feed head fits into is plastic and looks like metal but that's not important. The metal head and grinding screw are plated metal and hopefully over time they won't peel or flake. The three plates are nicely machined metal parts and the slicer blade is said to be stainless steel. When I put the grinder away I always coat the blade and three plates with Crisco or canola oil and place them in a small ziplock snack bag. No rust, no problem. The motor is pretty darn powerful but quite noisy. The internal gears are said to be made of metal but I haven't disassembled the box to look. I only use it to grind chuck roast into hamburger so can't address whether it grinds up chicken bones but I imagine it will. I'm rating 4 out of 5 stars because of the loud motor.

Three Stars
Doesn't do well if there is fat on the meat being ground.

Best meat grinder for the money
Best meat grinder for the money. I chop about 3-4 pounds of chuck at a time and make the best hamburgers. I freeze the hamburgers in vac pac bags and have them any time I need them. Juicy and made with fresh red meat. Just follow directions.

Rusting badly after one use and big spike in price just before the holidays
Where to start. . .The unit itself works well, but it is rusting on a level I did not expect. I don't leave it in soaking water. I use it. Clean it. Dry it. However, any moisture left on the most miniscule level will create rust. Very disappointing. In addition, the price of this unit went from roughly $75 to $100 in less than two weeks. . .just in time for the holidays. I was trying to order a second one for a friend before I realized the issue with rusting and noticed the rather large discrepancy in pricing. I would probably suggest looking at other models at this price point. Not worth it for the quality of this product.
