This used to be my favorite licorice. At some point the formula was changed and now these are just expensive red vines, which I do not like. If you like red vines flavor, you will like this. If not, pass on this item.

I like licorice but am not a fan of this product. It’s a similar look to Twizzler’s but much thicker and chewier. For some reason it just wasn’t a pleasing texture or feel in my mouth. There is more strawberry flavor than in Twizzler’s.

I went through $60 of red licorice to find the best one. That encompasses 6 different brands. This was the one that had the texture and most importantly - the SMELL of red licorice that I remember as a kid. This is not like red vines or any of the stuff you find at the store.

The "beefy" size and good texture are a great start. The flavor is very good, but in my opinion could be a bit more intense (for lack of a better word) in my opinion. Still, I've placed two orders so far and plan to do so again.

I don't know what I'm going to do with 3lb of this stuff. It has a dull flavor. This licorice is not good. Will never buy it again. YUCK

By modern standards, you might like this, but don’t confuse it with the old fashioned red licorice Switzers used to produce.
