This is an outstanding rocker with an easy motion. It is the best of both worlds. The shock absorbers on the back legs keep it smooth and easy allowing for a gentle rocking motion But when you want the chair to "act" like a chair, such as at a table, the front legs are fixed, so you can stop the forward motion without the chair continuing to tilt forward.
