Durability!
I'm so happy that I finally found a replacement! I bought the first squeaky shark over 5 years ago. It was my German Shepherds favorite toy and survived her "shark teeth" period. It went through a hard life, and now I won't feel guilty throwing it away. We had to remove a couple of squeaker due to the destruction that Tawny put it through, but the one that remained STILL SQUEAKED! Yes, she destroyed many toys, but this is the only one that survived the test of time! (The soccer ball did not)

Bigger hard squeakers. Maybe something good, maybe something bad.
My dog, a fearless Mini Schnauzer mix who would previously disembowel pretty much ANY toy with a squeaker in it, and who has been known to run barking like a boss TOWARD a growling Pit Bull, is utterly terrified of this Shark. He was fine until its big squeaker squeaked. Now he will not even go near it. AT. ALL. He runs and hides at the mere sight of this thing. (Schnauzers bred as ratters? My @$$!) And it comes with not one, but THREE big squeakers sewn in- so no matter where he would try to grab it, it would have squeak potential...However, he LOVES, LOVES, LOVES his Octopus toy from Spot/Ethical. (with only one smaller squeaker) It is ultra durable (it has been played with, HARD, and it still unbelievably exists); that is why we looked up Spot’s other items and tried this. However, they are not really similar products. Because of the giant plastic squeakers, this Shark is more of a structured toy- they are wrapped in a long, soft tube, which makes it wiggly but not what I would call soft. The Octopus is soft and floppy. This ain’t.I really wish that they would additionally offer this exact toy without any squeakers. (Or with the small squeaker that is in the Octopus). I can’t believe it would be hard for them to do. Please, Ethical Pets/Spot: give us choices!I will say that this seems like a durable, well made toy, (with an athletic-type mesh inner lining) as I have had to slit some seams to get the squeakers out (a Squeakerectomy!) and it wasn’t totally easy to unstitch their stitches or resew (except for the spot they slid the squeakers in and did a running suture-like stitch to close it up; that was easy-peasy).

The best!
This quickly became my dog's favorite toy. He loves to tug, but he is tough on his toys. This held up to tugging, chewing, shaking, etc for quite a while. Even when my dog got into the seams and we took the squeakers out, he still wanted to shake it and play with it.

Durable, well-made toy
I am amazed that this toy has lasted as long as it has. I have a Bull Terrier that is very hard on toys. Even other so called indestructible toys only last a few days and most squeakers die within an hour or two. I purchased this toy over a month ago and the squeakers still work. I am not so sure my wife is happy about that part though.

Most durable soft squeaker dog toy I can find
My chihuahua loves these toys and will not play with anything else. His favorite two toys are the alligator and the shark and his favorite game is "tug of war". Yes, I have to replace them about once every 2-3 months, but to be fair, my dog doesn't treat his toys very well. They're priced good too.
