These bulbs are intended for string lights, and they would probably be great for that purpose. I used them in a 5-bulb chandelier. Putting even 40-watt equivalent bulbs in it would be too bright. I originally tried 1-watt bulbs, but they weren't bright enough. These are just right, with enough light to be useful, but not overwhelming. The 2700 K color temperature is very pleasant. Short of setting up a dimmer system, this is working really well.

I used these to replace 1 watt bulbs that came with my string light set. These feel twice as bright and now fully illuminate my balcony, whereas the 1 watt bulbs still made it feel rather dark. I will also confirm that these bulbs work with a dimming function. I have a Kasa smart dimmer and have tested dimming from 0% to 100% and works like a charm with no blinking or failure.

I have 4-5 light strings from Addlon. After 4 years, a few of the bulbs are no longer working (do LED’s burn out?). I researched replacement options. Addlon bulbs are $25 for 4, which is ridiculous. While these are a smidge shorter than the original bulbs, they are 2 amp and are just as bright at the originals. Time will tell how long they last, but at this point, I’ve very pleased with my purchase.

These are a “standard size” I think,right? But compared to the bulbs I was replacing, the threaded portion is considerably shorter. As you screw these in, you run out of thread very soon. One bulb worked by screwing it in really tight. Another one would not light without bending the center post in the socket way more than I wanted to.
