Back To The Roots : Coutinho, Luke, Tamannaah: desertcart.in: Books Review: Celebrating Indian Wisdom and Wellness - First of all I must confess that I am a big fan of Luke. He inspires with his genuine health concerns. This book although covers nothing new but a good reminder to respect our basics and roots. The first chapter of the book Dinacharya deciphers many old wisdom of our culture like benefits of sitting on the floor while eating, importance of eating food with hands, benefits of chewing well, significance of lighting a candle, tongue scraping etc. The other chapters talk about following: * Scientific logic behind many habits like applying sindoor, wearing toe-rings, idol worship etc. * Indian Superfoods ( Mango, Banana, Ajwain, clove, amla etc.) * Wisdom tips ( right cookware, yoga etc.) * Hacks for healthy living ( ear pain, loss of apetite, aches etc.) * Recipes ( Luke's khichdi, Kanji, Immunity powder etc.). Tamanaah has given her feedback cum mantras in between. Overall a good book to read. A nice reminder for all of us. Lets be proud to be an Indian and respect our ancient wisdom. Review: Luke the best - Good deep knowledge what else can we expect from Luke coutinho the goat

A good read go for anyone wanting to know some of the reasons behind certain Hindu practices with explanations of why certain things are done the way they are. I’ve also started implementing some of the basics which I grew up with back home in India which got lost after moving to US a long time back. This book definitely took me back to the roots with Ayurveda as a supporting fact behind each principle. Very interesting and healthy recipes at the end. Good job Luke and team 👍
