Yes, the doll is well made and can be snuggled. Stuffed with a pillow-like material. It's kind of floppy for regular play, but perfect for sleeping with.

Q: Is this doll machine washable?

I have not washed it, but I would think on a gentle cycle you could. My biggest concern is that the hair is made of yarn, so it may fray some. The doll is very soft so the stuffing may also lump up in the washer. You could definitely spot treat any stains without a problem.

Her clothes are sewn on. I don't know whether there is hair under the cap. It is also sewn on. You might cut the skirt off at the seams, but I think it might be easier to design clothing that would fit over the clothing that she already has. I believe the bodice of the dress is actually the body of the doll. I believe the shoes are actually the feet of the doll.
