The actual case that was delivered did not have the front Sky logo as shoes in the picture. Just an empty space. One of the locking hinges had some scratches and the inside velvet is cheap material

This is a great case and it worked out really well for a gift, replacing an old Geimenhart case that was being closed with a huge rubber band on one side where the old clasp had broken about 15 years ago. For a hand-me-down but still very nice student flute, it was definitely worth using some good protection to get it through till the next 5 or more kids. (: I'd say that other than the lining be a little thinner than I would have wanted, the rest of the case is great.I do wish more cases had a pocket or slot for the the cleaning rod and a swab, etc. This did not, and so many don't.The hard shell case is a must, compared to the foam gig bags. Shoving these instruments in a backpack, under a bus seat, or in a locker, etc means you need this kind of case. If you're a parent, for example, buying a replacement case: please think about that. This is coming from a parent who's got experience with mostly trumpets and french horns. Flutes may not have a bell but they still need to hard shell protection. Gig bags, unless they're the kind made by a great manufacturer and come original with the instrument itself, aren't a good idea. At all.

updated review after a year. my kid is a bit rough with the case. the soft plastic handle isnt a great design, it tore and the case fell to the ground, and a corner shattered.is this a good case? fpr light use - yes. for heavy use - definitely not.

The case is strong and nice, but the handle is very weak and has very thin parts that broke within 2 months of use.

I had this for maybe 2 months before the handle broke .
