Great product but need to know some shortcomings
Love: Water capacity (even at full power), portability (I travel a fair bit). However, if you have other waterpik products (we have a rechargeable as well as a pro unit for the home), what can be better: 1. Unit is very light, so in hotel with less than ample shelf space, the base can move alarmingly when the water is almost used up. 2. Location of power plug also makes it hard to fit on some shelves/basins 3. Floss head is not replaceable (you gotta change the whole hose/head assembly) which makes it harder for couples to use, and difficult to switch to alternative heads for orthodontics, etc

Small and stylish
Very small. Does not take up much counter space. Works very well.

Love it both it's power size and function. Love NO TOP and I will tell you why
This unit is amazing. Small, powerful and the tank holds just the right amount of water for one adult mouth. It is powerful on high. Any more powerful and you might have gum abuse. The tube from the unit is small and clean. Easy to clean and drain. The fact there is no top is perfect. First of all you are always taking the top off and place on the counter then half the time you are putting it back on it falls into the tank. It's a hassle and I love that there is not top. After the morning use I empty the tank and flip it upside down on the unit to drain and dry. And there is a reason I do that...see below.I purchased this as a replacement for a large Waterpik unit I bought from Costco. That unit was larger and had separate tops for other family members. This does not but it is only for me so that didn't matter. The one from Costco had on the cord a turn on turn off system. After about a year I got very sick and had to go on Antibiotics not knowing why until I wound up on a second dose of Antibiotics when we realized the illness was due to mold in the on/off water slider. For the first time I noticed in my teeth!!! Black mold!!! And then on the tip a tiny black dot. I cleaned my tip and my tank all the time so I didn't expect this!! But the mold was in the handle. I banged on the handle (you can't open it) and black mold pored out of it. I couldn't get it clean. I'm not the only one as I looked it up and there should be a class action case against Waterpik for this issues. As a clean freak this was very disturbing. But..I'm not the only one. After not having a waterpik for 4 months I broke down to try this one. So happy. This issue could not happen with this unit and that was why I bought it even though, yes, it is expensive. I bought the pink one because it was $40.00 off and I didn't care about the color. I'm am very happy with this little unit and have been using it for a few months now. I haven't traveled with it but I believe that would be very easy.LOVE IT....and stay away from any Waterpik that has a slider On/off on the handle you hold onto. E U.

Misleading Product Advertising
I was advised by my Dental Hygienist to use a waterpik. I purchased this product because my husband and I travel. Included with the Waterpik Sidekick in the 'frequently purchased together' was water pic replacement heads. I thought they would be a good buy incase my husband wanted to use the Waterpik and included them with my purchase. Today I tried to remove the head and replace it and found out they are NOT REPLACEABLE. Something that can not be used with the Waterpik should not be offered for sale with it. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

waterpiks are the best
I have been in the dental field for over 40 years, and we always recommend water flossing. In my opinion, Waterpiks are the best. I bought the little one because my apartment bathroom has no counter space. It just fits on the edge of sink. It is easy to put away and does fit in my medicine cabinet. I like that it is small, has a travel case, and works just as well as my battery powered one. The water jet is adjustable and surprisingly strong; the nozzle easy to maneuver. The cons: as others have stated, wish the plug was on the side rather than the back. It would fit on sink edge better. I too wish it had a lid. The reservoir does not really seat securely on the base. It is easily dislodged. I use the pitcher that came with my iron to fill it to the brim rather than risk spillage. Based on other reviews I bought an additional nozzle just in case. It was only about 10.00. Overall I am happy. I managed to buy it when there was a price reduction on Amazon. Yay. Yes I would recommend this to anyone who has space issues or who travels. I much prefer plugging it in rather than recharging
