I'm too old to suffer discomfort!
My wife and I both started using these boot gloves quite some time ago. We noticed right away that the gloves kept our feet tolerably warm. Then we added Hotronic boot heaters. Eureka! That was the total package for skiing with comfortably boots all day regardless of the temps. If you can dish out the money then do so because it's hard to enjoy skiing with numb feet. Plus, as you get older, discomfort (of any kind) gets harder to tolerate.Based on our experience, we would suggest first time users wrap duct tape around the sole strap. This prolong the life of those straps. Also, wear them as tight as possible. This will reduce and/or prevent snow from building up underneath the glove. If you ski in powder conditions be sure tap the gloves with your ski pole baskets when you are in the lift line to shake out any snow underneath the glove. You don't want snow build up underneath the glove because your boots might leak when that snow melts. We've never had this problem but then again it may just be luck.Is it worth the expense? Absolutely for us - I'm placing a new order just as soon as I finish this review. It's July but it's never to soon to think skiing! And one last note: I see that there are imitations of this product. Hmmmm...we're sticking with what works for us. Cheaper isn't always better.

Warm feet for the first time in 40 years
If you're reading these reviews, stop researching and order these neoprene boot covers. These could be life-changing in the same way your first day in powder can be.In 40 years of skiing so far, I've always suffered from cold feet. Cold to the point where I used to drop a ski boot on a bare foot at the end of the day and not feel it.I'm too cheap to buy $400 foot warmers or $200 heated socks, but read the reviews for these and asked someone in a lift line who loved his.I've used them 2 days so far, and they are incredible. I put a toe warmer on top of my sock (which never worked in the past), put these neoprense sleeves over the boots, and my feet were warm all day. No unbuckling; no taking them off between runs to warm them up; no pain hours later as my feet thaw.

Inexpensive option
I have been using boot gloves for a couple decades since seeing them on an instructor at Vail. I usually get about 100 days out of a pair before they're trashed. If you walk pavement the strap wears through quickly. These won't work for you if you're a habitual buckle flipper. I have also used boot heaters, but no longer hassle with those. These will trap in warmth, but conduction will occur from underneath where there is no insulation. They also keep snow and slush off the boot shell and buckles. They won't make your feet toasty, but they will make them comfortable on normal days and give you an extra run or two before going inside on bitter cold days. I stuff them easily into my 15 liter patrol pack when not wearing them. Husband wears large for his 316mm boot sole length (27.5 mondopoint). I wear medium for my 273mm (23.5) boots. Small should only be purchased for small children. Because they're neoprene, they do have some stretch.

Keeps feet warmer and safer from frostbite
A friend is a professional ski instructor in Colorado. Lot of time spent in frigid weather. Swears by these boot gloves to help protect his feet from super cold weather. Better order a size up than down, as it is easier to pull over the boot, and boot mask lasts longer.

Love the boot glove
The boot glove is another tool in my box for keeping my feet warm when I ski. It helps keep the snow from packing in around my boot and buckles acting as a freezer. My feet tend a little on the cooler side so unless the day is mild I also use a second form of warmth (usually a tow hottie). I usually regret not using the boot gloves when I don’t put them on.My partner uses an offbrand, the fit is not a snug, which sometimes gives him trouble putting his boot in the binding, and the Velcro in the back is not strong or easy to put on or adjust. I believe the DryGuy brand is worth it.

These work as advertised
I had an opportunity to use over 10 days in vail. I tried some days with and some days without just to see if there was any difference. Please to say they did make a difference. If you are someone who really has cold feet and are used to heaters these are likely not a replacement. For me it was related more to cold toes on colder days. On days I used it prevented the issue. On the 2 days i tested without, i can say my toes remained colder. So i can say they DID make a difference.Met 2 people on mountain who had these for a few years and they swear by them.Lastly, i did not experience an issue with binding interference as some have reported.

Works Great
Bought these specifically for working on the mountain when some sub-zero temps were forecast. They worked better than expected and kept my feet from getting frozen.

Nice and warm
These boot covers work well on the cold days. I did find they made a difference in keeping my feet warmer overall. They are easy to put on. Just be careful not to walk too much in parking lots or other rough areas as you will wear out the bottom strap
