The 6mm pegs are still a touch smaller in diameter than my original Ivar pegs from Ikea but they're the best I could find on Amazon. They're pretty close and they do the job better than narrower pins from another seller that were supposed to be exact replacement parts. I returned the others when I received these.

Make sure to purchase the larger diameter ones if this is for the IKEA Ivar units. I did and they fit perfect! I don't think I have actually ever been so happy about a purchase on Amazon. I would 100% buy again, and may have to if I am going to use my other 3 shelves.

After a couple of years, the Pine in my IKEA Hemmes Cabinet started to shrink. This meant my shelves were being held up by just a few mm. I ordered these to replace the pegs and now I can rest easy that my shelves won't fall off the pegs. These pegs are metal and are long; perfect solution!

The length is great. Our shelves have expanded with humidity and the shelves fell off the smaller (and plastic) shelf pins so these worked perfectly to be able to put the shelves back in place. These were for a large unit including bookcase shelves, not for an IKEA product although the holes are a similar size and the pins fit perfectly.

If you need these (as I did) to provide support for Ikea's Ivar shelving, you may be a bit disappointed. They're not quite the same thickness as the metal dowels that come from Ikea, though they work well enough and are extremely affordable.
