I'll try to make it short: So, new kitten, new litter tray. Indoor cat so top priority is no smell. Bought some beads and they seam okay but still not convinced. Bought some powder stuff that came in a multi pack of 6, but after reading the warnings about breathing it in, I've decided to discard them and look again for something else. To be honest, we don't leave her litter tray for long before removing any solids. But still I wanted to have something on standby and something that works, without the kitten being able to breath it in. These crystals seemed to be the best compromise. Compared to the packaging that the other products I've tried came in, these crystals come very well presented in decent plastic bottles. That gives me some confidence in the product itself. So, they're really easy to use, not sure how effective they are due to not having a smelly cat just yet, but I do feel that these are probably the better choice and I'm not concerned about the health of the kitten with these in her litter tray. That's the most important thing for me.

Works wonders for cat boxes and keeps smells down for the day after scooping. Not sticky or gummy and shakes out of the container well. I wish there was a bigger size as well it doesn't last long. Easy to use

My wife, daughter, and I live in a small home with 1 cat (Captain Jammers). Needless to say in a small house with a litter box, it's hard to "cover up" the smell of fresh cat poop when company arrives. We love Captain Jammers (he prefers that the family simply call him "Jammers") but that cat isn't fond of burying his business and let's just say in a 625 sq. ft. household it can do serious olfactory damage. Enter FRESH STEP CAT LITTER CRYSTALS. The family began sprinkling this amazing product into the cat’s litter box. Jammers kept doing his business but now the smell was completely neutralized. The crystals last and work for a longer time than you would expect so it's truly a product that delivers for the money spent. I should also add, that since three people in our house share 1 bathroom there was one time of "emergency" where I was forced to defecate in Jammers litter box. To say the least, Jammers was NOT amused. I should point out that my wife has a terrific turkey chili recipe but sometimes she goes a tad heavy on the spices and peppers. Unfortunately the day after I ate a massive, and ill advised, bowl of her chili I discovered that our sole bathroom was occupied when an “emergency” was looming with frightening magnitude. I found myself in a serious quandary that required split second timing. For a brief moment I considered running over to my neighbor Bob Cooper's house and asking him to use his bathroom. However his wife recently asked me to give her an upper thigh massage and this did not go over well when Bob found out. Also I borrowed his rake and broke it. So naturally after these two issues, the friendship had been strained...to say the least. I didn't expect my explosive duking in his house to iron out any of our previous relationship issues. So I had to scoot Jammers away from his box to solve my rather smelly problem. Amazingly the FRESH STEP CAT LITTER CRYSTALS also covered up the smell of my fecal litter box deposit. The worst part of the entire experience was a few days later when my wife emptied out the litter box and screamed, "JAMMERS WHAT DID YOU DO?!" Luckily, the cat isn't talking and neither am I. Thanks FRESH STEP! You're a breath of fresh air in our household!

I am using crystal litter and unfortunately, this looks like urine in the litter box. So I will not be buying this again

Very good, helps with the door although I do clean out every day
