Perhaps the definitive book on SPACE:1999
Given the various global issues which have affected this book I was hoping it was worth the wait. It absolutely was! Lavishly illustrated and meticulously researched this book stands admirably alongside any I have seen or own on any genre subject. Chris Bentley’s now familiar writing style, along with the tested format for these Signum ‘Vaults’ , was like meeting an old friend taking me back to my 1970s childhood. Certainly as far as I can see not an aspect of SPACE:1999’s production, promotion, merchandise or ongoing legacy is ignored. The ultimate publication celebrating the ultimate adventure. Sumptuous stuff.

Great book
I started to wonder if this book was ever going to arrive given the multiple delays, but it was worth the wait. The book has a couple of pages about each episode. What I like is it doesn’t fill space by giving a huge synopsis of each episode, if you’ve purchased this book I’m sure you’ll already know what each episode is about. Instead it gives background into the production and actors involved. Interspersed between the episode pages are various items about the overall program, such as set design, special effects, merchandising, etc.A well recommended book if you are interested in Space 1999.

Escape into worlds beyond belief
Fantastic book, well worth the wait. Space: 1999 (series 1) -probably still the best sci-fi show made. This book does it justice. Lavishly illustrated and with Mr Bentley's usual comprehensive research and fabulous factoids. Awesome.

Classic TV Show Book
I ordered this book as a gift for a friend's Birthday. Ordered it on Monday night and came the following Tuesday afternoon. With tracking information that allows you to follow your order right up to your door. The book is a brilliant book for a gift and covers the series in great detail. The making of the series and the spin off merchandise is gone into with great detail.

Lovely book
More of a Trek (TOS) fan than Space:1999 but always admired the production values, design, model work and scores from the Anderson series. This excellent book showcases all of those attributes. Made me want to dig out my Blu Rays.

Comprehensive and well researched.
This really is a celebration of the TV series. If you only have to buy one book about Space 1999 then this is the one you should choose.

Definitive Guide to the Classic Show
A show I loved as a child and one I've revisited as an adult, Space: 1999 is TV gold and this book is a suitably lavish account of all things Moonbase Alpha. Each of the 48 episodes is discussed in detail, along with chapters on the accompanying toys, cards, comics, annuals and novels. If you're a fan of the show it's a no-brainer and if you're a fan of sci-fi shows in general, you'll love reading about this slice of TV history. Highly recommended.
