I had this style lamp in mind when I started the process of purchasing a lamp that would have the right look and feel for my mid-century modern living room redo. Using Amazon’s feature to view this item in my living room allow me to see the lamp from every angel virtually. After that, i searched for the best value for the money I had budgeted. I read reviews, researched the brand’s reputation and made my purchase. Size was perfect, easy to assemble, the lamp shade was the best. It really pulled the room together after i adding in the new furniture.

This is a beautiful and stylish lamp. The shade comes fully assembled unlike some others sold here.FYI: If the shade is higher on one side, place a small, thin piece of cardboard under the black screw-down ring directly adjacent to the higher side to level it out. I have it connected to a smart plug, so I don't need to pull the chain constantly. It will add class to any room in your home. I'm really happy with it.

The quality seems good, but as other reviewers have mentioned, the problem with these lamps is that the threads for the stem are not even in all the lamps, leading to crooked shades. In my experience, out of the 2 lamps I bought only 1 screwed in correctly. The other one had to be adjusted so the shade was level (which ended up damaging the bulb mount while trying to strengthen the shade). If only this problem were corrected these would be very nice lamps.

Some indicated problems with the light shorting out, but I have found none. The only complaint would be pulling the cord through the base was a bit tiresome and I could see if you were too rough you could cause some issues there. Otherwise it was well packaged and looks fantastic with my mid century modern look as a table lamp for far less the similar ones on other websites. It is sturdy enough to not tip over if the cat walks by. The base is a brushed dull gold and I love the pull chain even if it's silver (and not gold) been using for a few weeks now and very happy I made this purchase.

Lamp looks nice but is poor quality. Returned the lamp first time I ordered it as wood shaft was chipped. Received replacement lamp and then the chain used to turn the lamp on and off broke after two months of use. I found out it is a frequently returned item. DO NOT PURCHASE.

I really like the mid-century style; I'm very satisfied with it.

Although very well packed (actually impressed me) the shade came dented. Almost impossible to get the shade to stay straight on the lamp and the fitting to tighten it does not work well. The shade is oversized for the lamp (those dimensions should have been in details on Amazon). Last but not least, at a normal table height, walking past the lamp you can see the lightbulb.

These are attractive, especially for the price. But I have a few design problems that prevent higher rating. The lamp shades don’t sit level due to poor design. (Shade goes on first verses hanging from a harp). This means you can’t really manually level it because the shade is sort of built into the lamp. I had to use cardboard pieces to “shim up” one side of the shade while screwing on the lock nut.Another thing I don’t love is the bulb is exposed. It’s a narrow shade, and If you sit on a lower table (like a nightstand) you can see it. I ordered the shortest bulbs I could find because a normal LED bulb (with those heavy plastic bases) actually stuck up past the shade on the top. Now that I found 4” 100 watt bulbs, I am going to make a light diffuser disk to install on the top (which will require some shade modifications).I wish these design flaws were addressed by manufacturer. Same lamp was on a name brand furniture site for lots more money (no doubt exactly same lamp - would have had same problems). I liked The size & how they look well enough to Personally fix the design flaws....but I would have sent back if I didn’t have the skill to address them.
