I'll address the negative issue first, they do have a strong chemical smell, fresh out of the box. As with any non-woven mask, they are assembled with adhesives that either have solvents or are heat activated. Either way, they will off-gas for a while after production. Now add in that the masks are sealed in a plastic covered bundle of 35, very soon after production, then placed in a carton, then placed in a shipping box, they will smell for a while. My suggestion, open the package in an area like your garage, to let air out.The masks themselves are very easy to put on, very easy to fit and configure, and comfortable to wear. Follow the directions on the box for how to fit the mask. I can't speak to how well they seal, as I have a larger beard, that prevents this sealing against my face. The only mask I have that will seal with my beard, is a full respirator mask with filters. This mask is significantly better than the spit masks we were forced to wear over the last few years, when you went into a medical facility. Very similar in comfort to the spit mask, but more efficient, more configurable all across the top, and across the bottom, to create a custom fit. I like these and they're on the CDC approved mask list.

Glasses don't fog up when adjusted well, can't even smell pungent cooking or scented odors when entering a home or store with mask in place. (Think of the detergent aisle at the grocery, or lasagna baking at home.)Weak straps can be fixed by stapling all 4 connections before wearing, then good for many on and offs! Make sure the smooth side of the staple is on the inside.

The masks came with a stong chemical smell which gave one person a headache when they put it on. Worst of all, the masks are not returnable. Waste of money, and these were not cheap!
