Really good! The red box (sugared) tastes best & is NOT too sweet!
The Familia red box (w/sugar) is the best meusli I've had, the same I had in the 1960s! For me, the sugar actually tastes better than the plain, and it's def. NOT too sweet. Don't be dissuaded by all the no-sucrose comments - it's just individual preference, just as some ppl drink their coffee black. The red box Familia makes a nutritive, fairly creamy, easy-to-eat oatmeal, esp. w/milk (or even a bit of cream added, as many in Europe do). To make it creamier, add the milk/cream, and set it in the 'fridge for 5-10 mins. The longer you leave it (even overnight), the creamier it becomes as it absorbs the milk (maybe the barley adds smoothness). The nut & raisin proportion is perfect: not too much or too little. If contents may have settled, I'd take it out of the bag, mix it around in a large bowl, & return it to the orig. bag. Forget Bob's Red Mill and Alpen - their bran/woody flavor is too strong & bitter, and overpowers the oats. Bob's has so many inclusions that it can seem like eating wood chips - & it strangely has MASSIVE amounts of sunflower seeds - over 150-200 per bowl! My pkg arrived OK, tho wasn't professionally pkg'd - & it IS a shame that this seller sends a few broken, opened, & out of date. Overall, I'm glad to be able to buy this, as it's not always avail. in stores. I don't think it's too costly - esp. when compared by weight to to typical overly sweet, low nutrition cereals.

So Good to eat!!
I love this cereal! I used to eat it as a teen and now I am way past that .. Yet I still love to eat it. I love its simple and not sickly sweet!

A beloved comfort food from Europe
When I lived in Germany years ago, I absolutely loved Familia muesli. Upon returning to the United States, I searched far and wide for a muesli that came close to this one, but all the Americanized versions never came close. Eventually I found Familia at some local specialty grocery stores, but sometime during the pandemic all the stores stopped carrying this. Thankfully, I've been able to find it on Amazon. Though the appearance of the box has changed, it still is the original muesli. It's great straight out of the box with some milk - no sugar is necessary because the raisins provide all the sweetness you need. Sometimes to add a little more crunch I'll mix in some Cheerios or granola, other times (if I have a little more time), making an overnight Bircher muesli is also good.

Great muesli and reasonably priced.
Always comes fresh and ready to enjoy! And very reasonably priced, considering the amount of muesli that comes in each box. P.S.- whenever I order...it comes well-packed and in a short period of time.

Great value for money, wholesome breakfast
This is some of the muesli you can get, in terms of dollar value, and among my favorites in terms of substance. I've been trying different mueslis for more than a year now; this was one of the first I ever tried and set the standard for the others to follow. I prefer the Familia Swiss Muesli to Alpen and many varieties of Seitenbacker, and like it about equally with most varieties of Bob's Red Mill. I find the Original a bit sweet for my preference, and prefer the No Sugar Added version, but this is still good, especially if you blunt it with some plain rolled oats. It has a strong grain profile, a bit of fruitiness, and no oat bitterness to speak of. I've tried it plain, with 2% milk, and with hot water and it is good in all cases. One box tends to last me about 10-15 meals, depending on how they go. If not for the extra sweetness it would have an easy five stars, but for most people I don't think they'd mind, it is more on par with Kix than Frosted Flakes. If you like muesli, or want to get into it, this is a great starting point, I would definitely recommend it.

Genuine Swiss Muesli!
This muesli is excellent. I have been faithful to this brand for years. The six cereal boxes usually arrive in a cardboard box, but this time no box, just the six cartons wrapped in plastic within an Amazon plastic bag. The boxes were not really damaged but a bit squashed. Good authentic Swiss muesli, from Switzerland.

Good ingredients, but SOOO much sugar and way to sweet for my taste.
Oats, nuts, and some fruit... what could possibly go wrong? All healthy ingredients. But SOOO much sugar and way to sweet for my taste. I can't return so will donate. I see that there is a "No added sugar" version, so lesson learned.
