Good for a few things
This is a physically well made cable with an inline converter. It does not really fully match the description or the included leaflet and if you leave default settings you will get disappointed. However there are things this is good for. There is a nice color rendition when set correctly.1. On the HDMI side the EDID information (that is send to the device "projecting" video to it) identifies as 1280x720 60Hz. There are a few other modes listed, but this is the native resolution. There is no benefit of forcing the projecting device to a higher resolution.2. On the UVC end - the usb capture device: 2A) The device correctly sends brightness, contrast and saturation settings - color representation look natural with them. 2B) The device default capture resolution is set as 1920x1080, which is suboptimal - the image is smudged and stretched, again this is not the native resolution and you will want to change it. 2C) There are 3 resolution that you want to use for capturing images that don't look terrible: 2C1) 1280x720 60Hz MJPEG - there is ghosting and artifacts on sharp edges/text, so anime/cartoon material is not recommended. natural images(photos) show less perceptible artifacts. 2C2) 720x576 25Hz YUV2 - this is PAL resolution turned into progressive video. Can be captured without artifacts - e.g. use this for a SD material in PAL - something like an old camcorder, older console like the Gamecube, VCR deck or a OTA STB in EU. 2C3) 720x480 30Hz YUV2 - this is NTSC resolution turned into progressive video. Can be captured without artifacts - e.g. use this for a SD material in NTSC - something like an old camcorder, old CCTV camera, VCR deck, your aging Nintendo WII (with the HDMI adapter) or for one of those funky OTA converters.3) AudioThere is no audio in the UVC capture device - the included leaflet only instructs you to set up the UVC capture device in OBS - you will not get audio that way. When setting the source, select a separate audio device and select the separate USB audio device that appears.4) Encryptionthe EDID block indicates that the device can support encryption, though at the resolution it is good for, that is not needed. For the price this is an ok device if you keep it within the above limits.

Its ok for 20$ just get a different product and save money
i got it so i could use it with my dslr and although it was easy to setup when i tried it out i noticed that the picture was really grainy and low bitrate but then again it was 20$, get a cheap one without a cable like this one: https://www.amazon.com/BlueAVS-Capture-USB2-0-Camcorder-Extension/dp/B088HBRM7T/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=hdmi+capture+card&qid=1620414262&sr=8-3 Similarly priced and has way better picture quality so overall 6/10
