I love these. Yes, they make you work harder to get good mix, YES, they help you create mixes that translate well across al devices, and YES it's worth the extra work. I have had many medium/large monitors HS8s (most recently), Mackie HR824, JBL 305P MKII, too many to mention.Many of them SOUNDED great, and you could listen All Day Long to music on them. Your mixes would seem slammin loud and clear *until* you listened to them on another system and that's where the Swiss cheese in your mix was revealed. :-0EVEN if you are A/Bing mixes to reference tracks. Many of these above metioned monitors will lead you to a lack of mids, and/or too much bass, or not enough in your mix. They are just not telling the truth to your ears.If you are reading this, you know what I'm talking about, and you are here looking at these for a reason.These ARE the monitors you've been looking for. Forget the positive hype, and, forget the negative comments you might hear about CLA's endorsements. These monitors get the job done!

I did a lot of research on these monitors before buying. I was considering NS-10's as well but decided on these as they are powered, more reliable, and just a little more modern sounding. Really focus on the midrange which is usually what translates to all speakers and is how you nail the mix. I also have a pair of Adam A7V and they compliment eachother great in the studio. I love them

5 stars are for seller's patience and customer service.First set came with bent grills. Replacements appeared to be ok cosmetically. However, when these are plugged in, there is this noise that is very apparent. According to Avantone's customer support, there should be a slight noise but in my case, it is extremely apparent.Sent an email to the seller twice but no response. I am giving up on these. I am highly suspicious that these are used speakers that I am being sent with new packaging. Unless I am wrong, I am guessing these are just over-priced poorly made speakers.

It’s added one more knob that can adjust tweeter's brightness. I mean user can make treble sound more or reduce it. Originally CLA-10 passive speaker already has good middle sound as like NS-10 but it was too bright. But now it is much improved from previous version. I think It is good monitor speaker choice under $1000.
