Q: Does the mat have a smooth texture to it, or will you get lines in whatever you roll out over other lines?

It has a smooth texture. The only complaint I have now that I've used it more is that if your dough is sticky the mat will lift up when you're kneading the dough.

Q: Can you cut on it to form rolls?

supplemental answer - no cutting on mat, you can use a cookie cutter on it

Q: Looking at the pictures, I noticed the recipe for pie crust lists sugar, eggs, vanilla, and baking powder. Has this error been corrected?

Don't know if this still matters, but as of July 15, 2015 it has been corrected. See user uploaded pictures: recipe now has flour, shortening, salt and water as the ingredients.

Q: Is this half sheet size or whole sheet size? Other?

SIlibake XL mat is 26" x 18" which is FULL SHEETsilinbake Regular size is 23" x 15" which makes it little bit larger than 3/4 sheet
