Was very impressed with the lower resolution microscope and my only complaint on that one was I wished for a higher resolution and a better stand. When the HD version was available, I just had to give it a try. Had a bit of trouble initially getting it set up due to conflicting drivers but tech support from Jiusion was very knowledgeable and responsive. There are a few differences in the microscopes beyond the increased resolution. The lower resolution version was black in color, 640x480 resolution, had a zoom and snap button with an adjustable thumbwheel on the cord that lets you change the intensity of the light. The higher resolution was deep navy blue in color, 1920x1080 resolution, had a light intensity and snap button. On both versions, there is a thumbwheel on the base of the microscope used to focus and zoom in but I preferred having the zoom button and thumbwheel for light intensity as the button on the HD model only provides 3 options for intensity versus more flexibility on the lower resolution model. The quality was great and sharp and could very clearly see images albeit slightly smaller and darker than the lower resolution model. Initially tried setting up on an android phone but couldn't because the provided USB-C adapter didn't fit on my phone as the case was in the way. Wound up using it on a PC with the xploview software which made taking pictures and video extremely easy. Would recommend buying the HD version to anyone who needs any magnification capabilities for small objects. Its very reasonably priced, easy to use and support is great if you have any problems. Only recommendation to the manufacturer would be to bring back the zoom button and put some more weight in the included stand so it doesn't move or tip over. Overall a very worthwhile purchase.

This, by far, is an excellent microscope. The picture with colors is a electrical ribbon connector with 27 conductors per millimeter - that's with 27 voids, so 54 lines per single mm. I think this should sum your opinion of its capability. As compared to the previous model (X001C7XY8B), the new "2k HD" model (X002WXP5VD) uses a pushbutton for light control compared to the previous in-line dimmer which I sort of miss. The "Zoom" button feature has been deleted (which I also miss), and I like the additional printed indexing arrow so the image can be situated more easily (I won't have to mark it with white-out on this time.) The 'scope ran well through my Win10 desktop computer's USB2 port as well as through an Android 7.0 smartphone and an Android 4.0 tablet. In the world of electronic chips, different characteristics emerge with different components. With this model's switch-out, I noticed less contrast. The color and the depth of field focusing seem similar to the previous model - both which are fine to me. In live use, the new "HD" view is wider (16:9) and seems to lead to less zooming (magnification) ability which is not beneficial to me. The attached image with the smaller digits is from the newer model while the one with the larger digits is from the previous model - each is 640x480 pixels, 96 d.p.i. So, is the wide-screen "HD" "better"? Maybe in marketing, but not exclusively in use for me. Note: the image file from the newer was cropped to a similar size as from the previous model to demonstrate magnification differences. Captured photoes have more optical range, but a larger photographed area leads to less zooming in a photo viewer and thus less effective magnification. The CoolingTech software did not capture a photo when set for its highest resolution of 1440 pixels (I presume the software cannot handle that picture size; photo was black). This leads me to a somewhat additional "mis-claimer" of 2560x1440 - it may have that capacity, but will you be able to use it? The most I could get was a 1280x720 image through the smartphone HD capture. I tried thoroughly with the desktop software programs but only got 640x480 images. Therefore, I'm not sure the software is utilizing its full potential for captured photos e.g. 640x480 pixels, 96 d.p.i., aspect ratio skewed. The wide-screen dimensions might be pleasing for a large format TV screen/monitor, but it really isn't the greatest functional importance because with wide-screen much of the image is mostly extra baggage. The stand is the same, and while often criticized, it is completely satisfactory. This type of microscope is meant to be moved around the object whereas with the tradition microscope the object is brought to the microscope. So, even the stand being smaller is desirable since it minimizes being in the way - maybe it could use a longer arm. It only needs to hold the scope from falling over. Ironically, I prefer the previous model (X001C7XY8B) in my live use. The new model (X002WXP5VD) can produce more detailed zoomed/cropped photos, but I'm not sure it has been accessed yet. I would suggest resuming the digital Zoom button feature and in-line dimmer, if possible, and this would be in surplus of most user's need.

This 2K version is way clearer than the non-2K version. I tried both. Using this microscope can clearly identify problem with cpu pcb (see image) and magnify the actual issue. I also used this tool to align pins on the CPU socket. Very clear and easy to use. No complaints here. I would say that stated magnification of 1000x is a little exaggerated. But at 100x, tool performs well. At its price point, it's an awesome value and a very useful tool to do intricate work. Software is easy to install and launch with minimal footprint. I would highly recommend purchase.

I installed Jiusion’s app on my Macbook Air (laptop) following the simple installation instructions on their website. All went smoothly, and I plugged the microscope into my computer’s USB-C port with the included adapter. I got this 2K microscope mostly to check for stylus wear on my turntable cartridge, and I did that, but it has also turned into a fun “toy” to examine random things around the house. To get a good angle on the stylus I twisted off the clear plastic ring around the front of the lens. It comes off pretty easy and is also easy to reattach. I handheld the microscope while taking a couple stylus photos and both are very sharp. The photos are automatically stored in my documents folder for easy access by other applications. Overall I’m very impressed with image quality and ease of use. I also noticed that the built-in light isn’t always needed depending on ambient lighting and subject matter. For example, bright kitchen lights were enough to get a good image of the included calibration card. Given its relatively low price and good image quality, this 2K microscope is an easy recommendation.

It's good! I like that they don’t force you to download a program. Some of these Chinese companies require you to connect to Wi-Fi, and I think, “No way! You're not getting access to my Wi-Fi!” But with this one, you don’t need to do that, and the camera quality is pretty good. However, there's one problem: the wire tends to fray at the entry point where it connects to the unit. I've owned about five of these in 4 years and because that part is cheaply made. This happens as you can see by the picture and it’s every single one of them so get ready. Otherwise, it’s a pretty good product, and the camera works well.

Very unhappy with this microscope. Using the microscope is fine but when viewing the image, the "live image" glitches which makes taking a snap shot hit or miss because if you take a picture while it glitches, you lose half your image to the glitch.

The good: This is the second microscope I have from this company, and of this style (tho this is the updated version of the other one I got). I got a second one because I gave the other one to a family member as a parting gift as they left for college. They have an interest in insects, and use it to study them at home, as well as in the field, since these microscopes work equally well with a computer as well as with a smartphone! Personally, my interests are in mycology, and so I like taking this microscope into the field when I'm mushroom hunting, so I can get very close looks (and pics) of the different features of a mushroom to help with identification. It's small size also makes it easily portable, and it doesn't require any extra external power source; just plug it into your phone or computer and it's good to go. I also really like the connector at the end of the cord, as it easily converts to use with my phone or computer. The bad: I wish there was some indicator to help me know exactly what level of magnification I am using at a given time, as that would help when I'm recording information from the field. However, this is a minor issue with it, and for the price, this works exceptionally well for how I use it. I can't tell if the magnification levels are actually what it says it is tho, as I don't have a lab quality microscope to compare it to (yet). Overall: I really like this little microscope, and the company has been very helpful in their communications with me (when I had a small issue with the first one because it didn't have the instructions in the package like this one does. So they helped me figure out what I was doing wrong and all was good). It's hard to beat what you get for the price of this. It's not a high-end lab-level piece of equipment, but for something portable and easy to take into the field, it's awesome! I would recommend this to anyone with an outdoor interest in looking at small details!

I work in a microelectronics laboratory and this has been very popular among my colleagues and I. Right off the bat, some issues we have are: - The USB adapter does not work with my phone (Samsung A50) and you must contact Jiusion to have a new one sent - The stand is not great, we are going to replace it soon That said, the device is really great for our purposes. It's excellent that it can plug into your phone to capture video / photos. Because the stand isn't great we use it more like a digital loupe or a wand camera. For ~$20 it's definitely worthwhile and I would recommend this to anyone who needs a utility macro camera. I've included a few photos and a video of me facing the camera toward the pixels of my phone (very cool effect). Last thing to note-- it's overall an improvement over the previous generation of digital microscope by jiusion in resolution, it also has a light on/off button rather than a digital zoom button, which is more useful.

I’m really happy with this little usb microscope. The 2k resolution is a vast improvement over the regular 640x480 resolution you get and the magnification is more than enough for most purposes. I also like the focal distance, it’s a bit further than my other microscope making it easier to handle. The built-in leds are powerful enough for a clear image and have 3 light intensities. In short this is a great value all around usb microscope to own. Tip: try holding the microscope with the zoom dial down for easier orientation. Also download the free exploview app and record video in 2k mode (mp4 best quality), slightly adapting the zoom dial while filming and extract pictures later from the video using screencapture or mpc-hc! It’s way easier getting the right shot this way than trying to capture everything with a snapshot.

主にノートパソコン基板に載っている部品をチェックする為、購入しました。 ノーマルJiusion-1000x の値段に引かれましたが、少し値段高めJiusion 2K HDを選択。そのおかげか???2KHDの方が色合いや輪郭のシャープさが増しているように思えます。ただ2560x1440(2K)まで画質を上げると映す物体とタイムラグがあり画像が 凄くカクツキが出ます。 普段は実用性のある1920×1080(1080P)で選択してAmazon Fire HD8 plus タブレットに基板を映し出していますがスムーズに表示され1920×1080でも 画質は大変良いです。アプリはAN98を使いました。まだパソコンで試していませんが追々試してみようと思います。 ノーマルJiusion-1000x方のレビューでは顕微鏡カメラ部品のねじ込み プラスチック部分を最後までねじ込むと顕微鏡を高い位置に上げて映しても ピントが合うということなので本製品2K HDでも試しましたが、こちらでも 有効でした。 はんだ付け作業の時、低い位置に顕微鏡本体あると邪魔なるので ねじ込みプラスチックの調整は、はんだ付け作業には必須です。 使い勝手のあまり良くない点は ・ケーブルが硬く取り回しに邪魔になる。 (wifiモデルには2Kはないので仕方ない) ・USBコネクターがマルチUSBコネクターなので耐久性に問題があり。 (脱着式USBマグネットコネクターでなるべく劣化を防いでいます) ・ダイヤルが回しづらいのでピントが合わせにくい。 ・付属スタンドが軽く貧弱で背丈が低い。 以上の点を抜かせば決め手の画質が思っていたより良いので個人的に満足です。 本格的の高価な顕微鏡より本製品は手頃な価格なので試してみる 価値はあると思います。 現在も製品のホームページから顕微鏡スタンドの無料プレゼントは継続はされていました。メールで問い合わせをしましたが、初めは音沙汰がありませんでしたが2日後にメーカーから連絡がありました。ただしAmazon製品レビューが必要と言うことです。メールの返答はありメーカーサポートはされているようなので製品への一応安心は出来るようです。

The reason why I bought this microscope camera was the it works with Windows OS and that can be used for fine soldering . The package contains the microscope camera, bracket, usb type-c adapter, calibration ruler, small manual in English. How to setup the microscope camera with the calibration ruler is not explained in the small manual, so in the manual there is a link to (jiusion site) where I downloaded software and instructions to get started with this microscope camera. It is a really low-budget microscope way. Så I find this product not always easily to use, two reasons for this: The microscope has to be very close to the item I want to solder, there is also a slight time-lag. So when I move my soldering tool I will see it a few moments later (on the screen). Mind that a real microscope has better image quality and one can see better up-close. For really low-budget microscope way! Five stars when using with Windows OS for soldering or similar usages.

I bought this microscope primarily for electronics repair and inspection work. Since I do this sort of thing only a few times a year now, I was looking for a low-cost option that also doesn't take much space when stored. This product fits the bill. The microscope is a UVC-compliant device so it is recognized immediately by my Windows computer. So far I have only used this with the Windows Camera app which works quite well with this microscope. A visual delay is perceptible which I figure to be about 150-200ms. This is tolerable for me when doing soldering work but maybe not for others. This HD model has a 2MP sensor that is an upgrade from the ubiquitous 0.3MP sensor microscopes that has flooded the market in the last decade. I found the overall picture quality to be quite nice with clear detail and good colours. The camera has surprisingly good exposure control; I expected to see more blown-out highlights due to the close-in LEDs but it compensated quite well even when I deliberately turned up the LED illumination shining onto a circuit board. Of course, the LEDs don't work well with glossy subjects or backgrounds; for that, its better to turn off the LEDs and use other lighting instead. The microscope comes with a small stand that provides 0-15mm of working distance to the subject. That is fine for inspection work, but far too short for any work with a soldering iron. For that, the microscope needs to be raised by, for instance, placing the stand on top of a box. With the magnification set near 40x, I got a maximum working distance of 250mm. As expected, illumination is a bit darker at the periphery, though, along with the edges being slightly out of focus. In the last paragraph I say "near 40x" because, with the Zoom knob set right at the end limit, this microscope actually focuses at infinity. However the field of view is blocked by the transparent plastic lens protector/light diffuser that is attached to the end of the microscope. The full field of view can still be seen, but through a slightly hazy "halo". The stand's base is slightly weighted, but that doesn't always prevent the microscope from falling over. The pull of the cord doesn't help prevent toppling either. More problematic is trying to adjust the microscope into the desired position: the adjustment comprises of 2 ball joints secured by a single wing bolt. Forget about trying to attempt fine-tuning of the height as a method of obtaining focus; you'll have better success in just setting the position to as close as you can get and then using the Zoom knob to focus. The manufacturer has a much better metal stand that gives the microscope a larger working distance as well as a far better focus mechanism. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the thumbwheel variable light intensity control embedded inline of the USB cable is still present on this HD model. The body of this newer microscope has a button that can cycle through 4 settings for light intensity (off, low, mid and high), which I thought had replaced the thumbwheel control on the USB cable. The thumbweel control offers finer granularity lighting levels which I found useful. Magnification is controlled by a Zoom knob that ranges from a purported 40x to 1000x. Of course, these values are for "apparent magnification", which factors in digital zoom and the viewing screen size, not of pure optical magnification. Regardless, the actual zoom range of this microscope is sufficient for my electronics needs. The Zoom knob has a full travel range of 1.25 rotations (i.e., 5/4 full turns from end to end). I found that on my unit, it wasn't possible to focus on an object when the Zoom knob is fully rotated to the "1000x" end. When the camera is positioned as low as possible with the light diffuser touching the subject in focus, the Zoom knob is still 1/4 of a turn away from the "1000x" end of the scale. So, to get maximum magnification, it would be necessary to remove the light diffuser in order for the microscope to get closer to the subject to obtain proper focus - which is something I haven't yet attempted to do. With the microscope at highest magnification (light diffuser is touching the subject), I get a depth of field of less than 1mm. This will be ok with flat subjects like close-ups of stamps, but when looking at circuit boards this will require slight adjustments of the Zoom knob to bring parts mounted on the circuit board into focus. I found that there is a bit of looseness in how the Zoom knob is geared to the lens assembly. For instance, when I turn the knob and reach a point where the subject is in focus but continue turning in the same direction (so the subject is now out of focus), then back up and turn the opposite direction to regain focus, I will need to turn further beyond what was previously the optimal focus point. This is most likely due to too much free play in the plastic parts that make up the zoom/lens assembly. But for a microscope at this price point, precision parts is probably asking a bit much. The upgraded metal stand will be more suited for this with it's focus knob as then the microscope's Zoom knob doesn't need to be touched. Overall this is a worthwhile purchase. The build quality of the microscope doesn't feel cheap. The included stand is the biggest shortcoming. Given the feature set provided by this microscope, this is a good value, especially if you can get it with an upgraded stand.
