What an amazing idea! This cord splits the 220v into two separate 110v circuits. Since the geny uses two circuit breakers for the 220v plug, you're able to run them both separate at the same time effectively doubling the output amps of your generator. Keep in mind, obviously you're still limited on the rated wattage ceiling. I've always been held back by the current first though.

Hurricane took out my power, my new refrigerator would not work on new generator. Tripped GFCi on standard 120v 20A outlets. This allowed me to plug into 30A 120/220V (no gfci outlet) and run the refrigerator. Nice heavy high quality product.

Having purchased something similar locally being disappointed they were not 2 separate circuits. This adapter gives you that ability. Well worth the money for me.
