So do the pliers have the little hole cutouts in them (to hello with helping the bead) or after they just flat?

They are grooved. I don't like them they beads keep sticking. I don't think they are a high quality steel.

Are the outside of the beads metal?

They feel like metal. After using them u can open them when done using them to take back outa ur hair.i use mine to put feather in my hair. Thats how i use them

How do u remove the beads from my own hair?

Use the plier tool to open the beads and slide out
