Sizes are impossible!
I am 5'4" and weigh 126 lbs. I wear a small or size 6. First I bought the 34 (said it was a dress size 8). It would have taken a crow bar and 2 strong people to get this on me! Exchanged for a 36. Could get it on but uncomfortably tight. Exchanged it for a 38, still too small and I was oozing out of it! I'm not fat and I've never wore a 40 in my life so I give up. I have a TYR suit I've had for years. I don't know what they have done to the sizing and style. Very disappointed!

Suspect I bought a knockoff
Buyer beware - I suspect the item I purchased is a knockoff and not a genuine Tyr suit. I buy Tyr suits for my daughter all the time and this suit seems to be decent quality so I didn't initially suspect anything. But this week, the logo peeled off and I noticed there was no size tag inside the suit like there normally is. I looked at her other Tyr suits and realized the logo on all the others is sewn on.

Style and sizing has changed!
I have bought this SAME swimsuit 3 times over the years, most recently about 1 year ago. When I clicked on this item, it even said "You bought this January 5th 2017." I ordered the same color and the same size that I have ordered 3 other times. It's the same bathing suit I just wore to the pool yesterday. However, I could barely get this suit over my hips and never mind up and over my shoulder. It's narrower and way shorter. I compared it to the 40 suit I have now and it's about 6 inches shorter (and not because of stretching.) Also no lining in the new suit. Why do they always have to change sizing in women's clothing?!Disappointing--will have to go to a store and actually try on bathing suits to find a new one that will fit.

TYR - You can't go wrong!
I swim every day, some times twice a day and my suits get LOTS of use. I love TYR, they have been my goto brand for YEARS! I love the thicker straps on these as I feel they last longer. I rinse them after every use and they really LAST! They feel solid and very durable during a swim and have really kept their shape! BTW, I am a 55yo Masters competitive pool and open-water swimmer. I also compete in Triathlons, working toward an Ironman SOON! I bought a bunch of these as they were on sale and I have this thing about putting on a wet or damp suit, so I have several in my drawer and in my weekly rotation. You will love these!

Great Suit - fits true to size...
... with a caveat. For me, a new workout suit should be really hard to get on, but after a few trainings, should settle in. This is that kind of fit. I am 5'3", 113lb and wear a 32. Pulling it on at first required a weight training background (just joking, but yes: PULLLLLLL THAT BABY!!!!), but once on, it fits like a glove and doesn't cause "drag" while swimming. It's been a week, and it's loosened up a bit, but is still a comfortable, snug fit. I will buy a second as a backup, as the price is pretty good. Suit is medium thickness and unlined. That is my preference for quick drying, but some gals might not go for that.

Great for laps + exercise
Bought a new suit to get me back into the pool and hopefully back into my favorite TYR swimsuits (size 36's). I did purchase a size 40 based on the size guide on the TYR website (go by the measurements NOT the size equivalent). I'm 5"0, 180lbs and a 38DDD for size reference = size 40As i am a big fan of TYR I'm familiar with the wiggle to get in and out of the suits but they fit like a glove once on, be warned it might seem to tight but it will stretch a bit with use. I am removing a star as the back straps aren't nice and thick like the shoulder straps which can be a little uncomfortable. But otherwise from 14 years of buying TYR suits I definitely recommend them as they are super quick to dry and I still have suits from the mid-2000s that are in great condition even with years of use.

Finally, a suit that fits my 57" torso!!
It is unfortunate that it is so difficult to find a 42. I love TYR, they are the longest swimwear. I am 5'8" and a military 210lb. My torso is ridiculously long. My height it 68" and my torso measures from shoulder around 67". 40 fits but 42 is perfect.

Nice, Basic Bathing Suit
This is a perfect, basic bathing suit with a fairly modest cut and few frills. Because it's not fancy, it's perfect for lap swimming or for hanging out with kids at the pool. Some dressing-up could be done by topping it off with a separate swim skirt or shorts. The bust support works well without squashing the chest too much, and the nice, wide straps don't cut into the shoulders. The back straps do fit a little snugly compared to the rest of the suit -- perhaps less of a problem for those with a smaller/less-broad chest area? It's a minor issue, however; in the end I loved my basic black swimsuit so much that when I needed a second suit for a vacation I purchased another in green -- a nice, dark-foresty color. I'm considering a third for when these wear out, since it can be so hard to find a reliable swimsuit without going to the store.P.S. I found a nice size chart on the TYR website, although it doesn't include size 42. http://www.tyr.com/shop/sizing/?gclid=CLiwnaHD_sYCFQuQaQodYqEGIw

There's been a change...
This has been my "go to" suit for a few years, but the last few I have ordered have been of very different quality from the previous ones. I used to get about 1 year out of the suit (in the pool every day), but the last 3 have only lasted 2-3 months at most before they fade and the spandex starts to go. I note that the manufacturing country is listed as USA/China. I wonder if the previous ones were from USA and the latest are from China? Very disappointing. That said, I have just ordered another in a different colour - perhaps the different colour will be from a country different from the last few...at this price, I expect the old quality. Update - the blue is also made in China so we shall see how this holds up.

Faded fast
Fit was amazing and stayed good throughout weeks of wear. I am a swim coach and am in the water multiple days a week for about 4-6 hours at a time, which I realize is pretty hard on any swimsuit. Disappointingly the colour faded within about three weeks and the entire suit turned light grey. I realize this might be circumstantial because of the chemicals and temperature of my specific pool, but I still thought it was pretty quick. Next time I'll be buying an endurance type swimsuit that is a different fabric.TLDR - Fit was good but colour faded quickly.

fades fast
I like this bathing suit so much, I bought a second one in , in blue.... update ,was upset to find after a three times wearing this suit the beautiful blue color faded, and I took care of it washing it by hand and hanging to dry, my red one still looks great

good value for use of swimming lengths (laps)
Pleased with TYR purchase. I have swam over 50 times and still holding out.You do need a size up hence size 40 was good.TYR when abides by quality standards of materials (as others purchased were great) still keep quality upas often these bathing suits are use by avid swimmers.Best to rinse and use light gentle soap after each use.

revised review
This feels great and fits very well at first. I bought a 36 and felt awesome but within 3 months it was stretched out and faded. It looks grey and not black anymore. I averaged about 2 days in the pool in the first 3 months.
