Effective did the job for me, wore it everyday, comfortable to wear, good purchase for its needs, size I ordered was a good fit and support for me.

Perfect for my finger

The only downside to this support is that it's slightly uncomfortable underneath where the strap threads through over the wrist. The plastic digs in the bone of my wrist and becomes very sore after a few hours use. I have managed to fix the problem by sliding a small piece of sponge under the strap to stop it rubbing. Now I have done this, it is the best thumb support I've bought... and I have many! Much better than the ones that just cover the thumb with a strap round the wrist. Very effective when it comes to pain relief. It immobilises the thumb and also protects it. The support adjusted well to fit my hand and it is very well made. Comes with a very informative booklet which was useful. Price is fair for how good it is. All in all a great effective support for thumb pain.

I’m suffering with trigger finger in my middle finger on my right hand. It came on quite quickly really and is very painful as the day progresses. I’ve made an appointment to see my GP but am having to wait 5 weeks for even a telephone appointment. I had used a Dr Arthritis product before when I tore the MCL in my left knee, so I know it’s capabilities and comfort. I had no hesitation in ordering, for this new condition, another relevant product. It arrived the following day and whilst I don’t feel the need to use it first thing in a morning, as the day progresses I do need the relief of keeping my finger fairly immobile to relieve the pain discomfort. It really does help - as the day progresses my finger will lock in a bent position if I forget whilst going about everyday activities ie ironing, wringing out clothes etc, making the bed. It is painful but the splint stops me completely bending my finger and also reminds me to ‘take care’. It keeps the finger joints warm too and is extremely comforting and comfortable. I’m not saying it will completely heal the problem but until I see a GP to gain other medical advice it is helping me cope with day to day activities.

The splint itself is made of soft fabric, but the straps are plastic, and heat-stamped on, which made it uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time.

Bought both the wrist brace and the thumb splint and have been using both over the past two days to help relieve some wrist pain. Thumb splint to bed, wrist braces while working. Materials are fantastic feeling and seem durable enough for now and, for the moment, feel like they should last quite some time. Velcro stays in place while the material provides just enough stretch to provide a comfortable compression, while being stiff enough to support the wrist. Reading the above, you may wonder why the "almost" in the headline: If I had one complaint about the two Dr. Arthritis wrist braces, it is that they aren't the easiest things to get on. Once they're secured, they feel secure, but it does take a bit of finagling to wrap the brace around the wrist, while the thumb splint takes a little bending to get it situated. It's certainly not impossible, though, and it just takes a little practice, so I won't dock any stars for it. That being said, for their price, they're great. I would highly recommend them!

great brace for thumb stability, love it! Material is really soft for the hand, it's easy to slip hand in and out as the straps open wide but do not come out of the slots, as there is a thicker end. Handy as you can only use one hand when having a thumb injury! the thumb part has two stabilisers, which are strong and nicely support whole thumb for not moving. The support splints are sewn in and do not move. Due to the nice inside padding there is no or very little pressure on your skin (ie pressure sores). You can easily adjust the pressure by loosening the straps more. There is some wrist movement possible but still supports the wrist too. I have thumb tendonitis and found this to be the best brace for me, all others were too rigid. Easily hand washed too. I've bought two am so happy with it.
