Works for removing fragrance in machine
I live in an apartment with a neighbor who loves to use scent beads. The scent would get into my clothes and give me a headache all day so I tried this. Before I do my laundry, I run a quick wash cycle with this and some detergent or castile soap and it does a good job removing majority of the scent beads smell. It's not 100% but it's enough to where it doesn't latch onto my clothes in the next cycle and give me headaches so it works great for why I use it

Does the job!
I've used this for about 4 years. It removes all kinds of odors from laundry. I don't have to use it every load, but it removes pet urine odors from clothes and towels, in addition to bedding and floor rugs. It also works if the item has been washed and dried previously, but an odor still lingers. I first purchased for use on my daughter's work clothes, to remove the odor of the fresh marijuana she trimmed at work. Depending on the odor, I will wash the item twice, and/or use a bit more of the enhancer.

Hyperosmia and MCS
Please know this review is more for those of us with Hyperosmia and MCS (very sensitive to odors).Things I noticed: it smells like a mix of school glue and bleach while in the bottle. However, in the wash and on the clothes it has no odor. It's tough to pour, so make yourself a measuring cup to use. Sometimes after pouring it in the drum my nose would burn on the inside, so I started covering my nose while pouring.Patience. This will take the odors out, but you'll need to perform multiple washes. Also, most items need an overnight soak before washing. Washing machine presoak: soak with 1/4-1/2 cup (I used 1/2c) of this directly in the drum with unscented laundry detergent in the normal dispenser (or you can do this in the bathtub). If you don't have a presoak try running the clean tub cycle on your washer - just to fill it up & adjtate. Important: Stand with the machine for about 5 minutes & then turn it off (don't let the entire clean tub cycle run with clothing in it - it will off balance your washer). Let sit overnight & run on normal cycle with extra rinse in the morning (do NOT add more soap or enhancer at this point). When this is complete run a rinse/spin cycle with vinegar in the fabric softener dispenser. If the smell is not completely gone run another cycle on HOT water and 1/4-1/2 cup of this and unscented laundry detergent with extra rinse. Then another rinse/spin with vinegar. I have hyperosmia and MCS, so a lot of the time I could still slightly smell the odors at this point and would run another wash with1c Borax and 1c Baking Soda (no soap or enhancer). Then another rinse/spin with vinegar. After using the enhancer the dryer helped too, so if your pressed for time dry before you choose to wash again. I wish I could say this is a one wash and done, but with patience it does work.

The cure for Hard water and musty smells!
We have tried everything to get the musty smells out of our laundry. We live in a humid area where there is no grace period for clothes sitting in the washing machine—alas, life still happens, despite the fact that the wash needs to be tended to. We also have hard water and difficulty rinsing all the detergent out of the clothes. We have tried enzymes, sport detergents, ALLLLL the “natural” and “diy” solutions, but our clothes were always just a bit funky. No matter how diligent we were at drying clothes immediately and no matter how many different products we tried, our clothes had a sour smell. No longer! I splash a little of this in the soap cup and everything smells fresh now. Even the old “smelly” clothes, the ones we couldn’t get the smell out of no matter how we tried, have all lost their funk. In some cases it took a few washings, but I’ve been using this stuff for about 2 months now and our laundry finally smells clean. Love it!

Chemically Sensitive - Beware.
Product has a weird muddy oily odor. My husband thinks that it smelled like old cold hamburger grease. I think it smells like a fruity mineral oil.My husband used it on 3 or 4 loads and it has taken over our house. We threw away all of the clothes that we washed but can’t get it out of our house. We called the company and they had a couple of answers that we had already tried with no positive results.I am sensitive to certain chemicals and fragrances. This product has sent me reeling. I am now reacting to almost everything in my house. The product has permeated the air, I smell and taste it everywhere. It collects everywhere. I even have to clean my phone several times a day. We are washing everything with alcohol over and over. As you can see I am not happy.

Difficult to use
Tried this on two loads and will not be using again. I have a high efficiency top loader and it's difficult to use this. Also, I notice this leaves a really thick film on anything it touches. Think milk of magnesium. The cup that I used to measure it out? Thick film on it that won't just rinse clean. The dispenser that I pour this into? Thick film on there too. Overall, I can't tell if this is doing anything that my detergent + Borax is not already doing that it's not worth the extra hassle of using it.

Removes pet urine
I run an animal rescue and deal with a LOT of pee, cat pee is the worst. This is one of the few products that actually does get rid of it. Sheets, bedding, blankets, pillows, pet beds, etc. I also use some in the fabric shampooer for use on sofas and surfaces that can't go in the washing machine. Works there too.
