Great for healthcare
Great product. I was searching for a gait belt that was a little longer than the bland/old gait belt that I was given from work. I also wanted something that looked nice, since i tell my residents that "let's use my fancy belt", for a way to make them feel good about needing help, which alot of them feel bad that they require assistance. I finally have a true "fancy" belt! Pulling the belt through the teeth is easy and smooth, the width isn't as thick as my old one, so my hand fits better around it, which makes me feel that I have more of a grip on it. If you're looking for a great quality, fun looking hair belt, this is it right here. Highly reccomend!!

Quality gait belt
I work in a long term care facility which, like a lot of places provides belts but never enough, so i've been purchasing my own. This is one of my favorites as it comes in bariatric length, is smooth and not rough on skin, washes well (i've had one wrinkle up in the washer- but the others didn't- ??, secures nicely (I got the metal clasp out of personal preference) and looks distinct and really neat unlike the cotton ones that get pretty grubby after a wash or two. I frequently get people asking where I got it and the only problem I've had is that a few of them have "disappeared". Luckily for me, this is a nice affordable product and I've had many times I've been glad I had it on a person before transferring.

Please read before you buy
There is nothing to secure the strap to its self, such as a buckle. To secure it, you will need to raise the bed and tie a knot with the straps. If the person needs to get out of the bed quickly, you will then have to try and get the knot out which could have gotten tighter if the person was struggling in the night to get out of the bed. Also, it says that the strap needs to be secured above the V when the person is raised. That would put the strap across their chest instead of their waist of the average hospital bed. One more thing, before you buy consider that you just might be throwing your money away since there is no return for this item.

Nylon Cleanable Gait Belt BLUE - METAL BUCKLE
This belt is lightweight and pretty. Functionally it is ok to use for patients who have good control and stability, and you simply need a way to give CGA and the occasional tactile cue. It does not work well for pts who are heavier, who need full support or max assist. The buckle slides a bit when challenged. Would not purchase again. Might be good for family member of frail persons for community access. Not for heavy work.

roll belt restraint
Skil Care Roll Belt Restraint Bed Universal Size Easy Wrap Around Extra Long Straps - Model 301300 I purchased this product about 3 weeks ago to keep my husband from getting out of his bed at night. He has Alzheimer's severely and fell during the night. Although the belt works well for his needs, future prospective customers should know, as I learned after the fact, this product states in its' brochure which came in the package that the company states that this is not intended for the purpose of keeping someone in bed who had a tendency to wiggle down to the bottom of the bed and get out! Well that's exactly what he was doing!! Hospice provided a hospital bed with rails but the rails do not go all the way to the end of the bed. Well I kept it and tried it. For his needs, it's working, however it has to be attached a little more snugly around his waist to insure that he stays put. He can still roll over, back & forth. The belt has two very long straps. One is attached to the far side of the bed frame, the other side belt must be tied to the right side of the frame, securely as well. Then of course I have to untie these knots in the morning. This is the only product I was able to find which seems to help this situation. It is washable and soft and durable, with heavy sturdy strap canvas material. It's a good product for the price. It does the job, but you must be careful to attach it without too much extra room so that it's effective. It is not uncomfortable and does give me some much needed peace of mind.

Great Belt
I received a different color combo than the one pictured. Fine by me, I like the green/purple/aqua better. =DEasy to clean. If it gets soiled, I rinse it down in one of the showers, spray it with heavy-duty disinfectant, let it dry for a few minutes, wipe it off, and we're good to go.Nylon. Easy to adjust from day one, in direct contrast to my first cotton gait belt. It's still not soft enough to adjust without some quick finger work.Distinctive. No more Case of the Disappearing Gait Belt! I know where it is on sight. The only thing I DON'T like is the thinness. It feels like I can't grip it as well as a cotton belt because it tends to fold over and sometimes slide around a bit.I showed this belt to my supervisor after I'd used it for a week to see how it would perform (I work as a CNA in an alzheimers unit) and she promptly went and bought several more for our new hires. Everybody seems to love them.

Pretty but made for Light Use
Beautiful, light and dries quickly when wet. Good for safety transitions but for a new patient learning to balance, it is too thin and narrow to be comfortable in the hands of the care giver. It is perfect for dressing up and going out to the movies. It is not heavy and thick enough to work well in therapy sessions. All in all, it works and is comfortable on the wearer.

Thin, but cute and good quality
Live it. Everyone’s jealous of my “cute” belt at work! But it is thinner than the regular ones so you have to be careful when transferring because thin old skin will be injured if placed around the back that it bare! Love it though. Use it daily hasn’t frayed or broken.
