Custom Accessories 71121 2" Blind Spot Mirror, (Twin Pack)

I installed this mirror in 2018, expecting to have to replace them in a few months when the adhesive wears off (I'd read bad reviews about these stick-on mirrors before), and I thought I'd reviewed these years ago after I made my purchase. My brother-in-law has just purchased a new car, so I was looking at where I got my blind spot mirrors from, and I guess I never added my review.I've travelled over 100,000 miles with the original install of these mirrors across state lines at highway speeds - in the country, on the freeway, in the city and they've never came off.I like these ones because they rotate and click into the offset angle you prefer, and stay there. I angle mine out and down from the furthest edge of the OEM mirror to assist in lane changing and reverse bay parking.When I check my blind spot, I've already seen the car next to me in the mirror, so since 2018 I drive like a trucker. Your mileage may vary depending on the position you choose, and always be sure you're aware of your surroundings before making any lateral manoeuver - but these help me to not crane my neck and adds to a much more comfortable driving experience.Planning on buying these again for my next car, if it doesn't have OEM blind spot mirrors. Blind spot alerts are worse, IMO - I'd like to see what's there, not have a beeping computer tell me "danger Will Robinson" every time someone passes me in the next lane.No faults, very inexpensive item and well worth it. 5 stars from me. 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

Update: 04/13/2019:I found one on the ground next to the car this morning. It had rained last night, and just beginning to get to 70 degrees. I cleaned it off and stuck it back on. I am ordering another couple, and need to keep alcohol pads in the car just in case it happens again.I am not deducting one star, because it works so well, when it stays on. But if it happens again, I'll try another brand in the same format and deduct one or two stars.>>>>Worked out well. I have one like this on another car. Got the pivoting kind but returned them, these round rotating ones are best. Installed the 2-inch one on driver's side, lower inner corner, and the 3-inch one on the passenger side, lower outer corner--figured since the passenger mirror was further away, bigger would be better. (my side view mirrors on a Volvo XC70 were big--on a car with smaller mirror, the 3-inch would be too big).At first the passenger side one did not work well--it was too big, and hard to see since the cars were too small until real close. Was thinking about removing. Then I watched video on correct side view mirror positioning--man, I was doing it wrong for all these 50 years of driving.The instructions said, to position driver's left side mirror, press face against window and adjust until you only see the edge of the car--I was positioning the left side mirror this way, BUT with my face directly behind the steering wheel, not moved left and pressing against the window. For RHS, put face in center of car, aligned with console/rear view mirror, and position right side mirror until can only see the edge of the car. Thus, after adjustment, when sitting straight in driver's seating position, neither side view mirror shows the edge or side of your own car--a very uncomfortable feeling.And this is where these stick on mirrors come into play--you can see the edge of the car in them, on either side, although not in the side view mirrors themselves. The idea is when a car disappears from your rear view mirror, it should start appearing in your side view mirror. And when adjusted this way, the cars behind you do so--they gradually disappear from the rear view mirror and start appearing in your side view mirror, with the stick on mirrors showing the entire fish-eye image of the car. Cool--so after 50 years, I finally get it correct. Oy Vey.I do have Blind Spot Monitor in my car but what was missing was seeing what vehicle is there, not just a light indicating something is there. And these little stickies do that--giving me much more confidence--especially when the Blind Spot Monitor is not 100% all the time.I tested this positioning extensively during my last drive, almost got into a couple of dicey situations because I was focused on looking at the mirrors and not straight ahead. But I confirmed that this set up works well. 50 years wasted.
