Pretty worthless as a flashing center brake light
Pretty worthless as a flashing center brake light. I bought it as a center brake for a boat trailer to attract more attention when I stopped. I assumed it would work like the add-on brake flashers that flash a few times and then are steady on. This is not the case - in flash mode, the light flashes forever. This is completely annoying to anyone stopped behind you at a traffic light, not to mention illegal (DOT regs forbid constantly flashing brake lights)The only reason I gave it 3 stars is because, for the price, it is a perfectly good and fairly well made 3rd brake light when wired in steady-on mode. Now, I just have to order a separate flasher unit to go with the light. Oh, one more thing, be prepared to identify which of the three wires is which because there are no instructions included. (HINT: the one with the longest white markings on it is the ground)
