Asa and Keelie
Gifts if book 3 in The Killer Series and hold onto your hats because this is quite a ride. Asa has custody of his Levi 18 year old son whose due to graduate in a few months and Emma his 15 year old daughter since his ex moved with her husband across the country and the kids didn’t want to make the move. Keelie is a widow and the move of a young son and daughter. The two have a meet cute white she’s on the ate from h€ll and ends up on the side of the road with a blow out waiting for road service. She decides any future date must know how to chance a flat. She is rescued by Asa. The two meet again when Asa meets with Emma’s high school counselor to discuss her declining school grades. Yep, that counselor is Keelie. Something is bothering his daughter but she refuses to talk about it. The have a few non dates with all of the kids. When Keelie takes Emma home the two are caught up in a drive by and Keelie is grazed by a bullet saving Asa’s daughter. Asa moves into the house with Keelie to keep them all safe and boy does he have his hands full. I must say I usually know the villain but this one I got wrong. This one has action, suspense, high school drama, 4 great kids who have Asa wrapped around their fingers, there will be some ugly crying so have your supplies ready and lots of steam.

really good book and series
Wow! So much happened in this book! Twists turns and a lot of hot romance! Everyone needs an alpha super romantic guy in their life especially a widow with two kids and a bunch of farm animals. Brynne Asher is such a amazing author! She crafts stories that are so believable and they have all the feels. You cry, laugh, feel suspense, your heart pounds, you feel relief then you follow their amazing romantic journey. Then you are so very sad when the fabulous story you have been reading is over. Thank goodness this is a series and their are more books to read! I hope this author never stops writing books she has such talent! Read the books in this series you won’t be sorry!

Excellent read
Believable story. Love both Asa & Keelie. Comes across that Asa really loves her. From the beginning of the book right to the end was great.

Went in skeptical then I got hooked!
I honestly thought I wouldn't like this one even after loving the others, I thought the kids and split parents would add a level of drama that would get boring but yet again I was pleasantly surprised! Their stage of life actually speeds up the story; they know who they are and what they want, the kids positively impact the story and don't slow it down or add unnecessary filler like I thought they would. By the end you'll want to buy a 100 yr old farmhouse and a herd of goats!

Asa and Keelie
This book was the perfect mix of romance, mystery and suspense. I loved the blended family aspect and the fierce love Asa had for his kids, Keelie, and her kids. I never would have expected Asa to have such a strong conviction about a woman but he barreled his way into Keelie’s life.Keelie and Asa are both single parents. Kellie’s husband died and left her with lasting scars when it comes to relationships and Asa has been divorced for ten years but has recently taken the reins in raising his two teen kids. Keelie and Asa meet in the most unlikely circumstance, and when fate brings them together a second time, Asa takes charge. He demands to be a part of Keelie’s life and doesn’t let up. I love how honest he is with Keelie, even when he probably could have gotten away with a lie, he never even considered it. Asa has to work hard to earn Keelie’s trust, and she definitely gives him a run for his money, but once they’re all in, they’re all in.While Asa is trying to win over Keelie, he’s also trying to figure out what has his daughter so withdrawn. Keelie is her counselor at school and the two of them work to figure out what Emma is caught up in. I loved the underlying suspense plot. It brought Asa and Keelie together and added some intensity to the story.I loved this blended family and all the emerging relationships between the kids and their parents. I loved the little nuggets of humor laced through with the animals on Keelie’s farm. This was an extremely entertaining read and one with a twist I didn’t see coming.

What a great book! Love the inclusion of a little older characters and 2nd chance love. Asa and Keelie are adorable despite her fears and idiosyncrasies. He’s found his true love and has got her back!

Best kind of love story ❤️❤️❤️
I just finished up this absolutely FANTASTIC story in one session. I am a big fan of Brynne Asher's books and Gifts has gone straight into my favourites of 2017. This one is jam packed with alpha but not a$$hole guys, funny/genuine female characters, action packed story lines that actually go somewhere and sexy times so damn hot I felt like I was the one who needed a cigarette. I think the universe should give every woman on the planet a night with her own Asa at least once in her lifetime. Dammmmm.Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a funny, hot, emotional and beautifully written love story.

Highly recommend!
4.5 starsReally enjoyable read. Low on drama with a great protective alpha hero that knows what he wants. I haven't read any of the other books in the series but I am going to now. Highly recommend.

Third book
And I am starting to really like it. What's great is that all characters are written down in special ways....all three books are completely different but so ...equal.

A gift this was
Another story that smashed it out of the park, didn't think the Carpino and Montgomery series could be beaten but the Killer Series does. This story took some dark turns compared to others but the love story of Asa with Keelie plus his relationship with the kids was nothing short of beautiful. I loved reading how the two families blended and getting to know Asa who was a bigger mystery than Grady but definitely my favourite so far. This book had everything you would want in hit romance, family, thrills and plenty of steam.
