Why don't they show you this is not a glow-in-the-dark frisbee, but rather a very hard, stiff plastic frisbee with a battery powered light mounted in the center powering four LEDs. It doesn't glow at all, instead looking like a flying green X with each LED aimed towards the edge of the disc...kind of dizzying to watch.The LEDs are so bright they spoil night vision and are mezmerising to see coming towards you. I am disappointed with the poor product description and wuold not have purchased it had I known this.Overall it flies okay but its stiffness is unpleasant for both throwing and catching. Spend some time with your emery cloth to sand down the lip so you don't cut your hand. I expect to remove the light module when the batteries die which will make it beneficially lighter. Having said all this you can indeed play with it at night, but you'll each need to wear headlamps in order to see where your partner is.

KanJam is one of our favorite outdoor games! We wanted to have alternative frisbees to use as we have the illuminate version and don’t always want to use the frisbee with the light- these are perfect!

A friend said this disc held up well with his lab. Well my German Shepherd disagrees... I can't fault the disc since it's not really marketed for dogs, but be aware that the plastic is quite brittle.

This frisbee is a fine replacement for an original kan jam frisbee. It’s a nice weight and feels sturdy. There is one aspect that could be better - the brightness in the dark. You put the frisbee under a bright light for a decent amount of time and then it will glow in the dark. This glowing effect diminishes slowly of course, so if you want to play at night for an extended amount of time you’d have to put it under a light every so often. But it’s pretty cool right after coming out from under a light source.
