I drive a 1990 Dodge D350 with the 5.9L Cummins turbodiesel with app. 500k miles (the odometer didn't work for about fifteen years).Recently, the serpentine belt broke and the culprit was the fan bearing. Every auto parts store I checked with only sold the whole assembly, which costs over $200 and was a special-order that would take 5-7 days to come in. A quick check on Amazon brought up this replacement bearing available with Prime in only two days.Luckily, I have access to a bearing press and was able to get the pieces of the old bearing out. Without the press, I would have had to buy the full assembly.The bearing was ordered on Saturday and came in on Monday, so shipping was amazingly fast.Using the press again, I was able to install the new bearing and reassemble everything in about thirty minutes (HINT: place the bearing in the freezer for about 15 minutes to make it easier to install).Bearing fit perfectly and so far is working well.

I replaced the main fan bearing on a 2012 Dodge ram 2500 with the 5.9L Cummins.You will need a hydraulic press to remove the old bearing and install the new one. Heat and beat wont work. A shop vice wont work. If you dont have access to a press just buy the whole assembly instead of just the bearing.Side note. I cant comment on the longevity since I repaired the truck and immediately drove to the dealership to trade it in for a new Chevy.
