I use this in combination with a couple of Nikon dslr bodies, a Nikon 200-500mm f5.6 lens, and a gimbal tripod head. It's long enough to easily attain the necessary balance point using either a D750 or a D7200, with or without battery grips attached.

This plate looks like most of the others on Amazon so this may be common to all. I have three heads all with Really Right Stuff Lever QR clamps. This plate does not tighten in those clamps. The overall width is not the issue so I think it is how the beveled recess machined. If too little material is left between the bottom of the plate and the lower side of the beveled cut, the clamp can't engage it so theres no locking force. I'm ordering some others and will update this if I find success.

It's not exactly the same plate as pictured, but overall I think the price is commensurate with the product you receive.The pictured one has a slimmer profile closer to that of the Leofoto 100mm plate. What I received is a much thicker one, like all the other generic 100mm plates found on Amazon.The plate fit and finish are decent, but the included screws leave much to be desired. Fortunately I have other plans, but I would consider replacing the 1/4"-20 if you plan to use this a on your camera.

Somehow the measurement is slightly off and this does not work with the DJI RS2.

I tried and sent back severl different makers of these mount plates, this one is as perfect as one can get. It is long (Good grip), it has a two purpose screw (you can use a coin, key, screw driver or just twist it). It is as good as can be bought.
