Vanity Fair Women's Half Slips for Under Dresses Silky Stretch with Lace (S-2XL)

I purchased the medium and large size in the lace waistband slip. I have one that was purchased in the store many years ago and I wanted to.replace it. I measured the size medium with my old slip, supposedly 18" as well. It is about 2 inches shorter! The size large is just above my knees, exactly what I wanted. I will keep both and buy some lace to add to the size medium and make it longer.Other than that, they both fit well and do not cling or ride up. The lace waistband lays nicely on the skin without squeezing you in and leaving indentation marks on your skin or making your clothes look funny.

Very thin, a few minor factory imperfections to the fabric, but good material that is light.My only request: I wish they made XS, so these would fit properly. Especially with the thin lace top, but it works.The measurement length seems shorter than I thought, so take that into consideration with your order

Not too happy with the waist band. I must be allergic to it as it leaves red patches. I have washed it often enough and still doesn't feel right.

I was really mad when I received this slip. I couldn't believe how much I'd paid for what is essentially a rectangle of thin fabric sewn onto a stretchy elastic band. "I could make that myself," I thought.The truth is that I won't make that myself (ain't nobody got time for that!), so I'm actually glad I can just buy it. The fabric is a little flimsy for my tastes--it's not totally opaque, and lord help you if you have cats or accidentally get your jewelry caught on it--but the design of the slip itself is genius. The thick lace waistband doesn't dig in or segment your midriff, you can wear it lower or higher on your hips depending on the length of your skirt, and it does a good job keeping my assets covered and keeping my skirt from getting in a fight with my tights. While the fabric may be thin, it feels much nicer against the skin than the standard cheapie slip material does, and it also doesn't wrinkle, no matter how long I leave it balled up in my gym bag.I'd give it 5 stars if the slit wasn't quite so high, if the fabric was just a little more substantial, if it came in different lengths, or if the price point was just a little less.I've worn this at least once a week since I bought it six months ago. It's definitely proven its worth as a wardrobe staple, and I plan to buy it in another color.

I ordered the 16-inch. Order your true size on this, it needs to be a little tight or it won't stay up properly as it doesn't have a strongly elasticized waist. Bought it to stop a skirt from riding up under tights, and worked well for that purpose. I'd buy it again (and probably will to have more than one length).

I needed a slip for a couple of fairly sheer skirts and a dress and as I liked the look of the lace, I bought 2 and couldn't be happier.I felt the the price was fairly high for what they are but they fit well, the fabric is nice and the lace a nice touch.

Lovely lace, but the fit is a bit snug. Should have gone 1 size up. Very nice though

These half slips are okay. Personally I think the price is too high after I received them and saw the actual products. The colour is much darker than photo, more close to "cafe au lait" instead of a light peach/pink tone of neutral.
