Good product ruined by the instruction leaflet
There are already some good instructions in other reviews. So to anyone thinking of buying these look at those and throw away the instructions in the box. My second bit of advice is, check what lights you have. If you have incandescent or halogen you can go ahead and replace your existing switch and everything should be ok. If you have LEDs check if there is a capacitor fitted already. It might work but in my case it didnât work with this switch. If in any doubt either call an electrician or replace it with the one supplied with the switch. Having done that my switch works as intended and I am very happy! If you simply replace the existing switch thinking as I did, that the existing capacitor should do its job, donât be surprised if the switch LEDs are barely visible and the switch doesnât respond your touch. The switch is not faulty It is just telling you to fit the supplied capacitor. Before I read all the advice here I contacted Mr Yagusmart for my money back and he complied straight away without me having to return it. I donât feel too guilty about this because if I charged for my time at the minimum wage, my labour would still be worth more than the cost of the switch. I hope he will be consoled by the fact that I will be buying a few more in the future!

Excellent service great company values.
I have bought 5 of these Wi-Fi switches (one first, and then another four latter) which are Alexa compatible in white. My porch has black and chrome tiles and so I wanted a black switch to match. I contacted the company as they were the only company advertising their switches in white âWHERE YOU DO NOT NEET A NEUTRAL WIREâ and asked if they make them in black. They responded, immediately with âgive us a couple of daysâ and within two days they had added Black and Gold colours on to their selection of switches on Amazon web page. The salesperson was very polite and more importantly, these switches do NOT NEED A NEUTRAL LINE, and this is important to me as my house was re-wired in the late 60s before neutral wires were a standard and to find Wi-Fi switches that work with this sort of wiring is rare. I found one such switch (different make and company) for my kitchen which has florescent tube lighting so I cannot use Wi-Fi bulbs, it works OK but has a tendency to switch on my kitchen lights at random and so I have replaced all my current switches with these new 5 and so far, they have all behaved themselves immaculately. No more getting up in the morning and finding the Kitchen light on. đ đ đ One last thing, I didnât want or have the option to re-wire the house as all the present wires are chased into the walls (without plastic conduit) and would need major work with complete re-decoration to my house.

Good retailer sadly device would not work
After a tricky installation which was done mostly by using other reviewers as the device comes with very limited instruction. The device worked initially with Alexa and the samet home app and manual switch nicely. Sadly this only worked for one cycle of on and off before the device became disabled. A reset using the fuse box to power cycle the lighting circuit would get it working again but for only one switch operation. However I was given a full refund without having to return the device so good on the retailer.

Can be used as a Two way switch...
Straight forward to install and setup, great features like timer function, "Automation" (e.g. If Landing Light is on, switch on Stairway Light), "Tap-to-Run" and works well with Alexa. The question and answer section says that you can't use this as a Two way switch, you definately CAN (if you use two units together). I have shown how I have wired two together using original Two way wiring (effectively dropping the common wire), I then created four automation "scenes" in the APP (If Unit1 is turned on, switch on Unit2; If Unit2 is turned on switch on Unit1; If Unit1 is turned off, switch off Unit2; If Unit2 is turned off switch off Unit1)Also, with supplied capacitor fitted, works well with B&Q Alani LED, no flickering.

Love it
I was a bit skeptical before purchasing this but I'm glad I did, It does exactly what I expected and looks very elegant with a good quality feel to it. I fitted 2 of these and only needed to fit a capacitor on one of the lights. I read one review on here stating that it doesn't work on 120v however mine works just fine, I fitted the capacitor on the Input (240v) side of the transformer and it worked first time. Connected to the SmartLife App is a joy to use, I can now set my lights to go on/off or put it on schedule/timer from anywhere in the world.
