Curt Manufacturing 13703 Class III Receiver Hitch
Purchased this trailer hitch for the back of my 2008 Jayco fifth wheel trailer to be able to tow my boat. Upon delivery, I noticed that the box was damaged on the corners and had a few holes in the side. I could see the nuts and bolts protruding from the holes. After I opened the box. I had to collect all of the loose parts that somehow came out of the provided plastic bag. All the parts were contained in the box so I scheduled time for the installation. My trailer is built on a I beam frame. In order to install the hitch at the rear of the frame, I had to remove the two rear stabilizers, cut the 4" square bumper supports off of the side of the I beam's and cut and relocate the rear support for the plastic belly pan. After grinding the surface smooth I placed the side brackets in the I beam and drilled the hole's (4 per side) and the holes in the draw bar. (2 per side) I had to sharpen the 7/32 drill bit after each use. After drilling the 12 holes I proceeded to install the brackets and draw bar. The bolts and provided mounting washers were easy to install. The four bolts in the draw bar took some work to get in a position to accommodate the over sized washers. All nuts were torqued to 75 foot pounds as stated in the instructions.I had to install mounting plates for the 4" square bumper and welded them to the back of the I beam in the original location and re install the two rear stabilizers in a new location. The installation of the hitch was relativity quick and easy. All of the preparation to accommodate the hitch took a while to complete. Use of grinders, cut off wheels, cold chisels and a wire feed welder. The hitch is built strong and should not have any issues towing my boat behind my fifth wheel.

A fine heavy duty hitch
Just finished installing it,,,,all went well. Very heavy duty hitch, good hardware. Installed on my 2014 Artic Fox, 32M, (37feet long).I did have to notch out the rear bumper which houses your sewer pipe. Also had to notch out small areas of a subframe to allow roomto fit. I have the "I" beam style frame and this unit fit very well. It took me three afternoons to finish and had to purchase a $40 drill bit, whichwas easy to find at the auto store and stayed sharp throughout the drilling of 10 holes. Drilling is tough, frame seemed to be high carbon steeland required pilot holes as well. Very pleased how well this unit is tucked away and did not reduce my departure clearance in the rear and isactually much higher than the rear stabilizer legs. This will protect the rear end better and should even strengthen the frame its so robust.Freight worked fine, no lost hardware and it was packed well.

Great hitch, requires some modification.
The hitch wasn't a straight installation, but it was doable. This was no fault of the hitch but every camper is different. It fit perfectly between the frame rails, but I had to remove part of a crossmember and notch out the rear bumper of the toy hauler to get access to the hitch. It sits behind the bumper about 2 inches but that doesn't effect anything. The hitch itself is very sturdy, and it is great quality.

Overall a good product
Instructions say it will take about an hour, but it took me about 5 hours. The hitch is well built, but is universal, so I had to "adapt" it to fit my 2004 Jay Flight frame. I had to trim the side frame brackets to fit around the bumper brackets. I was only able to cut 1" off as there is only 2" between the edge and the mounting hole. I was then able to fit the brackets to the frame, but it doesn't slide back as far as I would have liked (to have the receiver at the back edge of the bumper). I also had to relocate my stabilizing jacks and remount them further forward to allow the side brackets to mount. I also had to purchase my own grade 5 bolts for attaching the cross bar to the side mounts, as the ones they send were too long to fit inside the 2" square tube.Other than having to adapt and adjust the hitch, I am very happy with it. I have it completely installed now and it is very solid. Well worth the investment and time considering my other option of doing just a bumper attachment hitch. If you have any ability and are somewhat handy with a few tools, you can make it work also. A thumbs up for the product and I give it a 4 out of 5.

Excellent receiver hitch.
Ease of installation depends on your trailer frame. I had to remove my under carriage spare tire rack, modify it and weld it back under the trailer. It needed to be 6" forward for the hitch to fit between the rack and the bumper. I also had to notch my bumper in the center for the receiver tube. I c-clamped the end brackets to the trailer frame and used them as templets to drill the holes. Hardest part is drilling the holesdue to the hard steel frame while laying on your side or back. Lifting the cross tube is easier with a helper. I have a C- channel frame so I had to have the end brackets on the tube when I lifted it into place. I stuck a cheater pipe in one end and my wife picked that end up for me while I lifted the other endfrom underneath and put a bolt through the bracket and frame. Then slid to the other side and did the same. My wife didn't have to get under the trailer and the cheater pipe gave her more leverage. The hitch does weigh 85 to 90 lbs. Next I torqued all the bolts down and hooked up my 16 ft. boat todouble check my length. In MN we are allowed 70 ft total length truck, fifth wheel and trailer. I had questimated 69 ft. and it measured 69 ft 1 in. Of course if you are going to pull a trailer don't forget to install an electrical plug. I had a welder, grinders, cutters and drills in my garage and due to the mods it took me two days for the hitch and one day for the electrical. Plan everything out ahead and you will be pleased with the finished product.

Not a happy camper
I wrote this manufacturer and gave them my specific model number of camper and was assured this product would fit. Anything to make a sale I guess as I was told oh yes it will fit. I'm giving zero stars as I'm a little irritated after opening up the under belly of my camper to find out there is no way without extensive cutting and re-welding things back on that this would fit. If you have a 2016 Keystone Hideout 299RLDS camper this will not work for you.

Great quality
Got this to connect a bike carrier to the back of my towable trailer. I have two ebikes that weigh over 150lbs combined. This hitch (welded to the frame) did the trick. Held up under rough roads and all. No issue. Highly recommend.

Heavy duty
The whole assembly is heavy! The tubing is nice and thick. Only downside is it's next to impossible to fit the two bolts inside the tubing to attach it to the side brackets. So I ended up having to get it welded.

Nice hitch, but supplied bolts are to long
Great hitch, well built & fit nice. The only drawback was the bolts holding the square bar to the brackets are to long to pull through the holes. I had to grind them down to fit or get shorter bolts.
