Excelente projector
El brillo y la calidad de imagen son muy buenas, pero para obtener la mejor imagen hay que mover mucho la configuración y tener una buena pantalla de preferencia de las grises de alto contraste que filtran la luz ambiental para obtener negros más intensos

Clear, crisp, flexible
We've used this for a month in a home theater setup with Mac Mini (for internet) and a DVD player. It projects on a large classroom-size screen in our living room. Audio is sent directly out of the Mac Mini to a state of the art sound system. The whole thing is rather impressive. But I digress. Optoma HD39HDR has nice, clear images and it never goes out of focus. The only thing I've found to be a problem is that when you are projecting in 4/3 aspect ratio for DVD and then go back to the 16/9 for internet, the color is all messed up, being to red and too rich. People all look like they've spent the night in a toaster oven. The remedy--just turn the projector off and after 10 seconds turn on again and it will go back to normal. I love the rather economical bulb which is supposed to last years. In the econ mode, which preserves bulb life, the brightness is just fine for our living room. Our previous Otoma projector lasted 10 years with c. 4-5 hours operation per day every day. I hope this one will be as good.

Optoma HD39DARBEE is great
I would give this 6 stars if I could. It is unfortunate that Optima has discontinued this model. No other economical projector in their lineup has the zoom range that allows me to fit the picture to the space I have. Or is as bright as this. This is my fourth projector. I have spent close to $3000 on higher end projectors and I feel like the picture from this $700 projector is superior for my purpose which is a living room with ambient light. The picture this produces is as bright as you would ever want and the color is vibrant. It is hard to believe I am shining this on just my beige wall. I have purchased projector screens in the past. I feel no need to spend thousands of more dollars for a screen with the picture I get from this. You do pay a price for the cheap cost. I do miss having a motorized lens with horizontal and vertical lens shift and memory and horizontal keystone correction. That means to square up the picture, you have to position the projector just right. But once you get it right, you can set it and forget it.I mostly miss that with a motorized lens you can zoom out for a widescreen movie and really get the immersive affect you want in a projector at the touch of a button. You can still do that with this projector but it is a manual hassle. Mostly I don’t bother with it.But for the $700 price tag, this thing is ridiculously good and perfect for a living room. You don’t need to spend thousands of dollars more for fake 4k and a dimmer picture. Not for a living room. If you have a dedicated home theater space, there is better options. At a price. But for casual tv viewing and web surfing I don’t really want to have to live in a darkened environment. This is a perfect living room projector.

Excellent quality and perfect picture extremely satisfied !!!
After searching the internet and reading the reviews I decided to purchase this Optoma HD39 Darbee projector, as it is my first one I was not sure what to expect about the quality. So after receiving it two days after ordering I decided to try it directly on the wall which is painted dark beige... I was extremely satisfied With the picture quality. I also purchased a 120" white screen from Amazon for $40. After attaching it to the wall and adding a frame the picture is better and more vibrant. The sound of the speaker on the projector is decent but I'm not to worried as I have a sound box I Installed. The projector gets a bit hot where the fan is so I decided to hang it from the ceiling. I use it with PS4 and android box and overall I'm extremely happy.

Perfect home cinema
I went for the HD29Darbee, I'm very happy I did. great quality, no need for pitch black dark room, works very good with little side lamp ambience, watched Sat channles HD and SD, football games, movies, netflix, PS4 You name it .. if you dont like the image then you have an issue with your video source. I dont use the projector audio at all its always muted so I wont take a star out, even if it's without audio I dont really need it. The darbee feature is a plus, the image options are many and very useful .. lamp life based on reviews is more than enough for a couple years. zoom and image shift are very useful as well .. this unit is ultra quiet ! the air conditioner unit in my living room is more audible when in quiet mode. Have not tried the 3D feature since I'm not a fan of 3D glasses but I cant deny that I'm intrigued. regarding the rainbow effect, I only experienced it while watching one certain channel that has huge subtitles font I had few blinks of the effect where the subs appear but I wasnt really bothered. it does not happen on other channels or netflix, proper HD channles or PS4.
