I started using collagen a couple of years ago when I twisted my ankle and fractured my foot, to help the connective tissues heal. I noticed that it also helped the rest of my joints feel better and improved my skin tremendously, so I haven't stopped taking it since. In that time I've cycled through several different brands of collagen, so I've tried many others to compare with this one.Puritan's Pride collagen contains type I and III collagen, which are the most abundant types of collagen found in the human body. These are the best choices for a collagen supplement to improve skin and hair, and I'd been taking another brand containing type I and III before I tried this one. This collagen powder dissolves easily into liquids - I usually mix mine into coffee or tea in the morning. Some brands of collagen have a noticeable savory or "beefy" flavor that doesn't mix well with drinks, but I didn't notice any flavor from this one. It's very comparable to the brand I'd been using, at a competitive price point.My only complaint about this product is the comparatively small size of the container and serving size vs other brands I've tried. The label claims this 7 oz container is a 30 day supply, but the other brand I use claims their 24 oz container holds 34 servings, so this all depends on the amount of collagen you like to use. Since I use it daily and am used to taking larger servings than the recommended single scoop from Puritan's Pride, I prefer to buy mine in larger containers (I've actually started getting it from Costco!)I'm completely satisfied with the product, I just wish it was available in larger containers because I feel that the amount of packaging would be wasteful if I continued buying this to take every day.

My husband and I use collagen daily. We enjoy it both in black coffee and in teas, sometimes in smoothies. This fairly priced and from a company I trust. The collagen does have a little bit of a smell but not too bad and it disappears when mixed with a beverage. I cannot taste it at all. It mixes in easily, sinking in and dissolving, not clumping at the top like other brands I have tried. It is also taken from two sources, which I prefer. I feel like I am getting a more balanced product which will help us more in the long run.

I have tried quite a few varieties, types, flavors and brands of collagen powder over the past 3 years. It has been a true game changer when it comes to how my skin feels. I truly believe it is one of the best things you can add to your daily diet to help your skin, nails, and hair retain their youthfulness. I have seen such amazing results.That being said, what really stands out to me about this particular brand is the extremely reasonable price. When you consider the fact that this contains 30 servings, which is one scoop, the price is just unbeatable. Compared to most of the other brands I have tried out there, this is definitely one of, if not the best, deal I've seen.That being said, I don't even see any difference between this brand and the more expensive brands as far as quality goes. This doesn't have much of a flavor to it but it does have a slight bony taste to it. This is typical of almost all collagen powders. I just add it on in to my coffee or my super food shakes and I don't notice any change in taste or texture.Now, I do notice a little clumping with this powder if you add it to cold liquids. I am able to stir it and mash the clumps against the rim of the cup but it might be easier if you add this to hot liquids or use a blender.

I think this is a good collagen product for collagens I and III. It dissolves well in liquids and has no taste that I can detect. I've been taking collagen on a daily basis for about 10 months and have finally started to notice improvement in the skin on my arms and face. It takes a long time to see results so consistency is needed. My skin is a lot more flexible and plumper.

Puritan's Pride Collagen Powder Type I & IIIAfter using up the entire canister, I don't see any difference in my skin or joints. There's nothing "wrong" with it; I just didn't see any noticeable benefits.

I use collagen everyday in my shakes because collagen is great for your hair, skin, and nails. I have definitely seen my hair grow a lot longer when I have been taking collagen. I love how much protein each scoop has. . Great way to get in some extra protein without many calories.I love how this product is derived 100% from fish. Comes from a reliable and healthy source!This product makes my shakes so creamy. I can't taste it at all because it is unflavored, which I prefer because then I can put it in my shakes or pancake mix and can't taste it.Great product!

I just receive this in the mail (powder) and the bottle is so beat up! I am so taken aback because I can't imagine what could have caused it to come in this condition; it's as though it was thrown around with full force against a hard surface
