The bed wobbles a lot when I’m on it and it doesn’t seem sturdy, but over all I like the bed. Also missing the end caps.

So far, so good with this bed. I expected to need to bolt it to the wall for security and creaking, but it’s solid! No creaking, no shifting. Very stable. I expect to have to tighten periodically, but will update this review if anything unexpected comes up. Assembly was 1 hour, once everything was unpacked. All the pieces were there, but we verified that before beginning and inspected them for damage or irregularities. Wouldn’t want to have to disassemble the whole bed if we needed to send it back! DO leave everything loose as stated in instructions. Rattledy shifty loose, not just “not tightened” because you might need the play to line up some holes. We got this bed for my grandson to sleep in when he comes over and he loves it. IT IS HIGH! Measure your space! The space under the bed is generous and what we needed. The ladder rungs are painful, but we added gray pipe insulation and it looks and feels perfect now. I appreciate that this bed has nothing that sticks out from the frame assembly. It is SNUG against the walls. It is a booger to make, but what bunk bed isn’t! Expect a workout if you have it against walls, although it isn’t too heavy to move out if you have the room to shift it around. I don’t. And at 5’2 I definitely needed a stool and to get right up on top. The railings are a safe height even with the 8 inch memory foam mattress in a box that we purchased for it. You never know about something until it’s in your presence, but I am pleased with this purchase and don’t know why anyone wouldn’t be. Hope this is helpful to someone. Oh, and the company I purchased from on Amazon has contacted me a few times with offers of assistance, assurance that they want me to be 100% satisfied with service and product. Very helpful. Not hard to reach at all. Photos show the alcove bed fits snuggly into and the 3/4 inch pipe insulation on rungs.

I’m going to try to include a very thorough review. I purchased this in early February and I’ve now been sleeping on it for over a month. It arrived earlier than the earliest expected shipping date, which was wonderful. It came in a box around 7 feet long and over a foot wide by less than a foot deep. Quite heavy and because of how long it is, I don’t recommend trying to slug it inside alone. I’m fairly fit but I’m also 5’4” so trying to manhandle a box this size alone would not have been great. Once opened, the contents are all labelled very clearly. The instruction book is clear enough to get the loft assembled, although one issue I encountered is that in the earlier parts of the instructions, some parts are depicted in the pictures that don’t get attached until later steps. I would say glance through the whole book first to have a sense of what goes on when. I had my father helping me assemble this, and after glancing through, we could mostly operate without it. It served to reference which screws we used at which times. The hardware pack comes separated and labelled, however do not peel the whole backing off. The parts are labelled on the front side of the backing so if it is torn off in pieces, you won’t be able to tell which pieces are what. The instruction pictures don’t 100% clearly depict the screw lengths beyond what letter they are labelled as and a couple of the sizes are very similar. Having a second person was the easiest way to assemble this. If I had been one person, it would have been a great deal tougher. Even just having a second person who can hold the structure up so it can be assembled upright made this far easier than any alternative. Getting into the actual building, it took my father and I a bit over 2 hours, we used power tools and not the hand tools the hardware comes with. Regardless of whether or not you have power tools, do not tighten things up until the end of assembly. There were a couple times my father and I had to go back and loosen something a bit so we could get the holes of another area to line up. All the pieces are made to fit exactly, so when one area receives tension before another, it alters the shape just enough to throw off alignment. This is normal for tubular metal. It does not mean there is a defect. We built this in a 10x10 bedroom with some furniture all pushed to one side giving us a 7x10 workspace or so. It was a bit to maneuver sometimes, I would say this is the smallest floor space one can build this in. Any smaller and we might not have been able to move ourselves and the pieces as needed. Now that is is together, its wonderful. It does wobble, but tubular metal naturally has give to it. Its not a scary amount of shaking so long as one doesn’t try to move too fast. I’ve been on it over a month now and its quite comfortable. The bar supports are nice but I do have a thin plywood sheet on top to go directly under my bed. I have a memory foam mattress and didn’t want to risk the bars creating strange indents. For a regular spring mattress, they’re probably just fine. The rungs do hurt my feet a small bit but not enough to warrant needing to cover them, and my boyfriend feels the same way. I weigh something like 150 pounds and my boyfriend weighs something like 170 and we can both comfortably sleep on this bed. It doesn’t feel like it will collapse under us, nor does it shake too much. My apartment is less than 250 square feet and this loft has helped dramatically with increasing space. I keep my hope chest, dresser, and clothes divider hamper underneath it. I do have to duck under it and I’m 5’4”, its around 5’ clearance. I could see having a desk or chair underneath this and working out well, which was my original plan. All in all, for $200, this is an excellent purchase. I may attach some pictures at some point.
