Bad factory workmanship. Many boards damaged! DO NOT BUY!
Where to even start? The manufacturing of the unit I received was absolutely the worst I have ever dealt with. None of the hardware bags were labeled so I have to compare and waste time guessing which wood screw to use. Next one of the main boards (letter D) was sent with drilling mistakes. You can totally see it was filled, and plugged on the black side, then on the cherry side they used a wood filler that hardly matches. So instead of them scrapping that piece of wood and giving me the customer a professionally clean (and properly drilled) piece, I got that (see the image)Now we get to the instructions. Letter B is black on one side and cherry on the other, but the instructions call it raw (the black side). Raw means raw wood, not the black. The board marked letter O is raw on one side and black on the other. Really? Do you not know what raw wood looks like? Couldn't you say black? I'm not going to even tell you how many pieces of this unit were scuffed and chipped during the packing process. Garbage.Folks this unit as of July 13, 2018 goes for $279. While this unit is 100% particle board certain things can be overlooked. It isn't REAL wood obviously, but I do expect things to be professionally handled (and manufactured). I expect mistakes to be thrown out and NOT given to me the paying customer. I expect no chipping, scuffs, or other damage to the unit when I receive it.I've built many pre fabricated units in my lifetime, and this by far is the WORST I have ever dealt with. The sad thing is I had hoped to rate this very high and recommend this to you all. Not only do I say look elsewhere, or save your dollars to buy one made of solid wood, I also say this company gives you manufacturing defects. They WILL NOT give you boards that are free from damage. I would have provided more photos, but the unit is about 70% complete. Waste of time to tear it down.I will not buy from this company again.

Best Review for making it work for you
The reason I call this the "Best Review" is because I have some hints to make the most use of this thing. It IS pretty, and because of the way it's designed, it DOES take quite awhile to put together. The wood glue is obviously for the pegs, and I recommend that you use the glue on both sides of all pegs even though the instructions don't call that out everywhere. The MAIN thing I want to point out is, this thing will tip over if you open more than two doors full of disks, so it is VERY IMPORTANT that you attach it to the wall afterwards. You aren't given any instructions or hardware to do this, but you can figure it out if you've ever attached any other similar thing to a wall. My 2 year old grandson tugs on the doors and the ONLY reason it hasn't fallen on top of him is because I attached it to the wall. When you do this, you will also notice that the frame of the cabinet can be held more "square" and that allows the doors to open and shut more reliably. They give you super glue but don't tell you how to use it. I guess you need to superglue the small wood shelves into the plastic frames on the inside. If you don't do something like this, then the plastic pieces spread, stuff falls out and it's a huge mess. Rather than use superglue, I used clear packing tape under the small shelves and around the sides. That holds the plastic frame in place and things don't fall out, and you can remove the tape if you need to ever reconfigure these things.A couple of pictures in the instructions looked to be shown in mirror image, and that was confusing. You have to be careful and take your time assembling it. The holes for the lock were not drilled directly over each other so the locking mechanism would not work. I had to install the latch backwards to make it work correctly. Not a big deal, but now, you turn the key to the left to lock and right to open. It's "backwards", but who cares.I would have given it at least 4 stars if the instructions had been more clear.

Just Say No!
So I've had this cabinet for 3 years now. If I could go back in time and tell past me that getting this cabinet is a bad idea, I would. What I like about it: it fits my husbands huge DVD/BluRay collection. What I don't like about it: everything else. It's unbelievably heavy and extremely difficult to assemble. After a few years, the doors don't want to stay shut and the the racks attached to the inside of the doors fall apart all the time.Just don't do it; you can do better! The people giving it a good review probably have only had it for a week. Just wait until you want to re-arrange the furniture or move.

Purchase with Knowledge
A great product. I have over 300 DVD's and Blu-ray's of various sizes, and this media cabinet fits them all nicely with room to spare. The quality of the cabinet is very nice, and not cheap looking. The door storage is not exactly what I would have wanted, but it gets the job done. (It's a tad narrow width-wise.)This definitely requires two to possibly three people to help assemble the cabinet. The instructions are fairly easy to follow, but not as detailed as you would think.Overall, I would recommend one of these to a friend, but they would have to have a serious collection of film and television discs for me to justify them spending the associated cost of this product.

DON't BUY
I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone. First, it is cheaply made. Nothing more than pressed fiberboard that splinters and cracks when you attempt to put the product together. Very poor quality. Second, it is very difficult to assemble. The instructions are very poorly written and the pictures for assembly are backwards! If you decide to purchase this, I would strongly suggest that you have a professional "assembler" do the assembly work for you. This product is NOT worth what is costs.
