I've read so many reviews about the smell. does it really go away?

I’ve purchased 4 of these and never had a problem until the last one, the dark blue. It had a horrible chemical smell. I used baking soda, febreeze, industrial strength enzyme cleaner, put an ozone machine inside it and left it outside to treat, aired it out in the sun and on the front porch for weeks at a time. The smell NEVER went away. It was so toxic that when it was in the room I was waking up with headaches every morning. You couldn’t notice the smell AS STRONG after all of those efforts but when you took the lid off it was still there.

The title and picture states that it supports 660lb. but the item description states: "can bear up to 300lb". so, does it support 300lb, or 660lb?

Will this work as a bench for my 60lb 6 years old? Looking for a storage bench for my son to sit at his table in a little nook in his room.

It is a great bench however, I think it would not work as a sitting work bench for your child as it's better suited as a storage space. It is not designed for sitting and a lot of movement. The storage is wobbly once sifted in it and you would have to pay close attention to child isn't moving back and forth on it or as he moving back and forth on the top would cause it to collapse. Still I think it is great storage bin. I wish company could stiffen up the sides ro make it move durable.
