XPowerM-25 3-hour Timer Axial Fan Air Mover With Ozone Generator

Looks sharp. It's a big boy yet portable and fits neatly on my window ledges! Two dials, one is ON (counter-clockwise) or timer mode (clockwise) and the other dial is fan speed, a translation of 'min' and 'max':Fresh breeze ---> TornadoIt tunes freely through that spectrum, no set increments. This is one of the things that swayed me over the XPower FC-300; that model's top-speed is 19% more powerful at roughly the same price (off-season) BUT you're stuck with a 4-preset speed dial. I wanted to fine-tune blowing power for different scenarios.The only thing I dislike is that this M-25 model is fitted with an ozone module - something I'd really rather NOT have and would prefer was at least under a switch safety cap; I only use this thing as a fan.I ended up looking at these particular fans as I have an over-insulated house - and a new smelly neighbour which makes care-free use of windows a problem. I use it to keep my house cool, for sleeping, drying clothes and to block cigarette fumes on my patio every once in a while. It gets a LOT of use on any given day.The noise profile on this fan is excellent; you can run it silently (and I mean silently) on low-speeds and the motor doesn't make any noise - in fact it's pretty much just the more air you want to move the more "whoosh" you get. At top-speed; lots of wind noise in the same room but still quiet enough for residential use - if it's in an open window, it's akin to a distant swarm of bees for anyone outside.Really my only dislike is the o-zone module but... it's sold as an o-zone generator and not really intended for home-use. The silver-lining, as an industrial model, is the brushless sealed motor and 6 meter cable (handy but like reeling a hoover cable, not my favourite past-time). But that ozone switch is still a source of anxiety, even if I've never managed to power it up in half a year of ownership.Overall, pretty nice piece of kit! It's a shame Amazon UK don't have the X series fans (i.e. X-47ATR) as those are similar to the FC series with tunable speed. Albeit with less fan fins. The FC-420 with tunable speed would be PERFECT. XPower if you're listening; take notes!N.B. Bare in mind this model is not safe if you have children. Always check the O³ switch is OFF before use. There's an orange LED if it's on. O³ is hazardous and not something to be messed with.
